Miley Cyrus to give singing advice to 'Idol' finalists

Disney’s darling Miley Cyrus will appear Tuesday on the nation’s most favorite talent show, 'American Idol'. There she will mentor the 11 remaining Idolettes, according to tabloid reports.

Hasselbeck schedules return to 'The View'

New York -- "The View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is scheduled to return to the U.S. chat show next month after more than two months of maternity leave.

Hasselbeck left the show Aug. 7 to prepare for the birth of her third child.

She is slated to return Oct. 19, ABC said Wednesday.

The hosts's only update from Hasselbeck was when she phoned "The View" studio last week to briefly chat live, on-air with her friends and fellow panelists Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd.

"We've missed Elisabeth both on and off the air," Walters, the show's creator and executive producer, said in a statement. "We've missed her opinions and her good humor. I am so happy she is coming back."

Heidi Montag lands 'View' guest gig

New York -- U.S. reality television personality Heidi Montag has signed up to be a guest co-host on "The View," ABC said Thursday.

Montag, best known for her work on "The Hills" and "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here," is set to be a panelist on "The View" Oct. 1.

She is the latest celebrity scheduled to sit in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is on maternity leave until mid-October.

Rogan, Apatow set for 'View' interview

New York -- Seth Rogan and Judd Apatow have agreed to make their first appearance on the U.S. daytime chat show "The View," ABC announced.

The pair is expected to talk about their latest flick, "Funny People," on the July 30 edition of the series.

Rogan and Apatow previously collaborated on TV's "Freaks and Geeks," as well as the movies "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Knocked Up" and "Pineapple Express."
