Report: Efron and Hudgens still dating

Los Angeles -- A source close to Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens says the U.S. celebrity couple's relationship isn't on the rocks, contrary to a tabloid report claiming it is.

Efron, 22, and Hudgens, 20, have been dating since 2005, and have co-starred in three installments of the "High School Musical" franchise.

"They spent months together up in Vancouver, where they are both filming movies," an unidentified source told Usmagazine.com. "Things are going well with them. ... They are happy."

Vanessa Hudgens is keen to shed her Disney-star image, so she can land adult roles in "R-rated films".

The actress found fame as the star of the teen-favourite High School Musical series, but her image has been tarnished by a series of nude photo leaks.

Hudgens hints the scandals won't damage her longterm career plans because she's ready to move on from being a child star.

The 20 year old tells America's Star magazine, "The fact that kids look up to me is extremely flattering. But at the end of the day, I want to do R-rated films that are a little edgier." (IG/TS/MT)
