NBA: LA Clippers 98, Sacramento 91

Los Angeles -- Eric Gordon scored 29 points -- 13 in the fourth quarter, when his 3-pointer broke a 91-91 tie -- and the Los Angeles Clippers beat Sacramento 98-91.

The Clippers, who led by 16 after three periods, allowed the Kings to claw back and go up 91-87 lead with 2 1/2 minutes to play -- but LA finished the game with an 11-0 run to win for just the second time in its last six games, while handing the Kings their eighth straight loss.

Blake Griffin finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers.

Omri Casspi led Sacramento with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Tyreke Evans scored 16, while DeMarcus Cousins and Carl Landry each scored 15 for the Kings.

NBA: Sacramento 111, Toronto 108

Sacramento -- Tyreke Evans had 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists Monday to help the Sacramento Kings beat Toronto 111-108.

Beno Udrih scored 17 points and DeMarcus Cousins scored 16 for the Kings, who won for the third time in their first four games of the 2010-11 season. Omri Casspi scored 14 and Samuel Dalembert grabbed 14 rebounds for Sacramento.

Andrea Bargnani led the Raptors with 28 points. DeMar DeRozan scored 24 and Linas Kleiza scored 18 for Toronto, which was outscored 33-22 in the fourth quarter.

The Raptors have lost two of their first three games.

Kings' Tyreke Evans cited for speeding

Sacramento -- The NBA's Rookie of the Year, Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings, was cited in California for speeding at more than 100 mph, police said.

The 20-year-old Evans was tracked by a California Highway Patrol air unit before he was pulled over on Interstate 80 near Sacramento Monday evening, The Sacramento Bee reported.
The newspaper said Evans was cited for reckless driving.

Evans was unaware that he was being tracked and was cooperative when he was pulled over, the Bee said.

Lizz Dutton, a CHP spokeswoman said officers drew guns and ordered Evans and his passenger out of Evans' 2010 Mercedes-Benz.

NBA: Sacramento 104, Utah 99

Salt Lake City -- Sacramento got a big night from rookie Tyreke Evans, who scored 32 points to pace the Kings to a 104-99 win over the Utah Jazz Saturday.

Along with a career-high scoring night, Evans notched seven assists as the Kings coped with the loss of guard Kevin Martin for the first time after he suffered a fractured left wrist.

Beno Udrih chipped in with 15 points and Andres Nocioni scored 14 for Sacramento.

Jason Thompson had 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Donte Greene hit 10 points.

The Jazz closed to within 99-95 with 17.5 second left on a 3-pointer by Deron Williams, who totaled 29 points and 15 assists on the night. But that was as close Utah got.

NBA: Atlanta 113, Sacramento 105

Sacramento -- Jamal Crawford scored 26 points off the bench Wednesday to help the Atlanta Hawks to a 113-105 win over Sacramento.

Crawford hit on 10-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-5 3-point attempts. Joe Johnson also scored 26 and snagged eight rebounds for the Hawks, who have opened the season with four wins in five games. Josh Smith scored 14 and Mike Bibby and Marvin Williams scored 13 apiece for Atlanta.

Kevin Martin had 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, who have four losses in five games to start the season.

Jason Thompson had 22 points and 12 rebounds, Tyreke Evans scored 15 and Andres Nocioni and Beno Udrih had 14 apiece for Sacramento.

COL BKB: Memphis 74, Tulane 47

Memphis -- Tyreke Evans' team-high 17 points sparked third-ranked Memphis to an easy 74-47 Conference USA win Saturday over outmanned Tulane.

The scrappy Green Wave trailed by only 35-26 at the break, but Louisville's talent and depth was evident in a 39-21 second-half onslaught.

Evans completed a dominant floor game by adding 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Robert Dozier scored 16 with 12 rebounds and three blocked shots. Shawn Taggart added 14 with 10 rebounds, and reserve Roburt Sallie had 11 points for the Tigers (28-3, 16-0), whose 22nd straight victory completed their third consecutive season without a C-USA loss.

They have the nation's longest winning streak.

Kevin Sims had 14 points and five rebounds, but no other player scored in double figures for the Green Wave (13-16, 7-9), who had won three in a row.
