Minneapolis -- Placido Polanco had two hits and three RBI Sunday to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 6-2 win over Minnesota, averting a three-game sweep by the Twins.

Polanco's two-run single erased a 2-1 deficit with no outs in the top of the fifth and his sacrifice fly in the ninth capped the scoring.

Ryan Raburn hit a solo homer, Magglio Ordonez had two hits and one RBI, Carlos
Guillen hit an RBI triple and Gerald Laird added two hits for the Tigers, who upped their AL Central Division lead over the Twins to three games by snapping a three-game losing streak.

Winner Nate Robertson (2-2) yielded two runs and five hits in five innings with three walks and six strikeouts.

MLB: Baltimore 7, Kansas City 3

Baltimore -- Aubrey Huff's two hits and three RBI Thursday led the Baltimore Orioles to a 7-3 win over the Kansas City Royals.

His three-run double gave Baltimore a 5-0 lead with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

One of two hits for Ty Wigginton was a solo homer.

Felix Pie had two hits and one RBI while Nick Markakis and Brian Roberts also had one RBI apiece for the Orioles, who earned a four-game split with their second straight victory.

Winner Brad Bergesen (7-5) yielded a run and seven hits in seven innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

Kansas City's John Buck hit a two-run homer.

David DeJesus had three hits and one RBI for the Royals, who have lost 13 of 16.
