Suspect allegedly urinated on police car

Johnson City, Tenn. -- Police in Tennessee said a drunken driving suspect was arrested after urinating on a police cruiser during a traffic stop.

Officers said Darinel Lopez Cruz, 23, was pulled over in Johnson City about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after being spotted crossing the center line of a road and swerving to avoid a curb in his Chevy Blazer, the Johnson City Press reported Tuesday.

Police said Cruz was taken into custody after failing field sobriety tests, exposing himself and urinating on the patrol car while being arrested.

Cruz was charged with driving under the influence and indecent exposure. He was taken to the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of $4,000 bond.

Man drove off with officer's hand in door

Bonynton Beach, Fla. -- Police in Florida said a man who attempted to flee during a traffic stop tried to drive away with a police officer's hand stuck in the door handle.

Boynton Beach police said Matthew Clark, 31, of Port Orange, was pulled over at about 10 p.m. Wednesday and officer Mark Sohn said the man seemed nervous and agitated, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.

Sohn said in his report that he asked Clark if there were any illegal drugs in the vehicle and then asked the driver and passenger Jenica Olah to step out of the car.

Clark started to open his door but quickly slammed the door shut with the officer's hand on the outside handle a
nd began driving off with the officer's fingers stuck in the handle.

Police: Man smoked all his pot during stop

Forest Park, Ill. -- Police in Illinois said a man admitted to smoking the last of his marijuana in his car during a traffic stop so officers wouldn't be able to find any drugs.

River Forest police said Giovanni Lyles-Dawson was pulled over at 6:09 p.m. Sept. 9 for allegedly driving with expired plates, and officers detected a strong odor of marijuana when they approached the vehicle, the Forest Park (Ill.) Forest Leaves reported Wednesday.

Police said they asked Lyles-Dawson to exit the car, but he instead locked his door and rolled up his window.

Miami's Starks arrested after police stop

Miami Beach, Fla. -- Miami defensive end Randy Starks was jailed Sunday after allegedly pushing a police officer with his vehicle during a traffic stop, a police report showed.

The 25-year-old NFL player was arrested and charged with aggravated battery early Sunday after the alleged incident on Ocean Drive, The Miami Herald reported.

The police report said the officer pulled Stark's freight-liner truck over in bumper-to-bumper traffic after observing 13 people in the four-person vehicle. The report stated there was a woman on Stark's lap, the Herald said.
