St. Louis, July 30: Matt Kemp delivered a two-run, two-out single in the 10th inning Thursday that brought the Los Angeles Dodgers a 5-3 win over St. Louis.
The Dodgers halted a season-worst, four-game losing streak.
Los Angeles took a 3-2 lead in the seventh on a two-run double by Rafael Furcal, but the Cardinals tied it in the bottom of the inning on a homer by Rick Ankiel.
Ankiel, however, struck out with the bases loaded in the eighth to end a St. Louis threat.
Ryan Franklin began his second inning of work in the 10th, but was relieved by Dennys Reyes with nobody on and one out.
Reyes (0-2) promptly walked Andre Ethier and Casey Blake followed with a single.
