MLB: LA Dodgers 3, Pittsburgh 1

Los Angeles -- Matt Kemp and Ronnie Belliard hit home runs Wednesday, powering the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game sweep.

Kemp's second hit, a two-run homer, erased a 1-0 deficit with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Belliard had three hits -- one a solo homer in the eighth.

The National League West-leading Dodgers have won seven of nine.

Winner Hiroki Kuroda (7-6) yielded a run and six hits in six innings with no walks and seven strikeouts. Closer Jonathan Broxton earned his 35th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Pittsburgh's run scored on Jason Jaramillo's second-inning single.
Andrew McCutchen had two of the six hits for the Pirates, who have lost 17 of 19.

MLB: Minnesota 7, Cleveland 3

Minneapolis -- Michael Cuddyer's three hits and three RBI Wednesday led Minnesota to a 7-3 rout of Cleveland, completing a three-game sweep.

Cuddyer fell a triple short of hitting for the cycle with a third-inning RBI single, a solo homer in the fifth, and an RBI double in the seventh.

Joe Mauer had two hits and two RBI. Both Denard Span and Jose Morales had two hits and one RBI, while Matt Tolbert had two hits for the Twins, who have won four in a row.

Winner Nick Blackburn (10-11) surrendered two runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Closer Joe Nathan earned his 41st save by fanning the last two batters.

Matt LaPorta led Cleveland with three hits -- one a two-run homer -- and three RBI.

MLB: St. Louis 5, Milwaukee 1

Milwaukee -- Adam Wainwright picked up his major league-leading 18th victory Wednesday while leading St. Louis to a 5-1 win over Milwaukee and a three-game sweep.

Wainwright (18-7) yielded five hits in seven scoreless innings with a walk and six strikeouts.

After Wainwright threw 98 pitches, relievers Trever Miller, Jason Motte, Dennys Reyes and Kyle McClellan finished the six-hitter.

Albert Pujols led the way with three hits -- including two homers, one a two-run shot, and three RBI.

Colby Rasmus had two hits and one RBI, while Matt Holliday added a sacrifice fly for the Cardinals, who have won 10 of 12.

Milwaukee's lone run scored on an eighth-inning homer by Felipe Lopez.

MLB: Colorado 13, Arizona 5

Denver -- Seth Smith drove in five runs with two homers Sunday, leading the Colorado Rockies to a 13-5 rout and a three-game sweep of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Smith's 14th homer this season was a two-run shot in the bottom of the first and his 15th was a three-run blast in Colorado's six-run seventh.

Yorvit Torrealba had two hits and three RBI. One of two hits by Carlos Gonzalez was a solo homer, Ian Stewart hit a two-run homer and scored three times, while Clint Barmes hit a two-run single for the Rockies, who have won five of six.

The winner was starter Jorge De La Rosa (14-9), who went five innings, giving up one run on two hits with seven walks and four strikeouts.

MLB: Detroit 4, Cleveland 3 (10 inn.)

Detroit -- Placido Polanco's 10th-inning sacrifice fly Thursday boosted Detroit to a 4-3 win over Cleveland.
Thursday's win capped a three-game sweep.

Polanco's bases-loaded fly ball to center field broke a 3-3 tie, scoring Ryan Raburn with no outs in the bottom of the 10th.

Curtis Granderson belted a leadoff homer in the first inning and Clete Thomas hit a two-run seventh inning triple for the Tigers, who have won four of five.

Winner Zach Miner (6-4) pitched 2 1/3 scoreless relief innings.
Starter Nate Robertson gave up four hits in six scoreless innings.

Cleveland scored on Asdrubal Cabreara's single and Shin-Soo Choo's game-tying two-run double, both in the top of the eighth.

Milwaukee -- Jeff Suppan gave up a run and eight hits in six innings Sunday, leading Milwaukee to a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh and a three-game sweep.

Suppan (6-8) departed after walking three batters in 94 pitches with one strikeout.

He added an RBI with a bases-loaded walk in the fifth.

Craig Counsell's only hit, a two-run single, capped a three-run fifth, and one of two hits by Casey McGehee was a solo homer for the Brewers, who bounced back from a three-game Cincinnati sweep.

Pittsburgh's run scored on a solo homer by Garrett Jones in the top of the third.

Lastings Milledge had three hits, while both Jones and Brandon Moss had two hits for the Pirates, who have lost five of seven.

Milwaukee -- Joey Votto had three hits and two RBI Thursday, boosting Cincinnati to an 8-5 win over Milwaukee and a three-game sweep.

One hit, his 20th homer, a solo shot, gave Cincinnati an 8-4 lead in the seventh.
Paul Janish had two hits and two RBI.

Drew Stubbs had two hits and one RBI, while Scott Rolen hit a two-run single for the Reds, who have won four in a row.

Winner Justin Lehr (3-1) yielded five runs and seven hits in 7 2/3 innings with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Closer Francisco Cordero earned his 28th save.

Milwaukee's Prince Fielder hit a three-run homer; Mike Cameron, a solo shot.
Cameron had two hits and two RBI for the Brewers, who blew an early 4-0 lead and have lost four of five.

Cincinnati -- Dexter Fowler and Garrett Atkins had 11th-inning, RBI hits Sunday, boosting Colorado to a 6-4 win over Cincinnati and a three-game sweep.

Fowler's RBI triple snapped a 4-4 tie with two outs in the top of the 11th, while Atkins, batting for winner Franklin Morales (3-0), followed with a run-scoring, infield single.

Ian Stewart had two hits -- one a solo homer -- and two RBI. Troy Tulowitzki also drove in a run.

A run scored on an error in the sixth and Carlos Gonzalez added three hits for the Rockies, who have won 12 of their last 15 games against the Reds.

Huston Street earned his 28th save.

Cincinnati's runs scored on a three-run, ninth-inning homer by Carlos Gonzalez and Joey Votto's solo shot in the eighth.
