Chris Johnson named top AFC player

New York -- Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after a franchise-record 228 yards against Jacksonville last Sunday.

The former East Carolina star carried 24 times with 52- and 89-yards touchdown runs in the Titans' 30-13 win, their first this season.

Teammate Maurice Jones-Drew had touchdown runs of 80 and 79 yards, making it the first time in NFL history that there were four rushing touchdowns of at least 50 yards in a single contest.

Johnson was joined in the AFC by Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing (defense) and Miami Dolphins kick returner Ted Ginn, Jr. (special teams).

NFL: Miami 31, New York Jets 27

Miami, Oct. 13: Ronnie Brown scored his second touchdown of the night with 6 seconds left to play Monday to give the Miami Dolphins a 31-27 win over the New York Jets.

Miami quarterback Chad Henne, in his second NFL start, passed for 241 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-26 attempts.

Brown wound up with 74 yards on 21 carries. Ted Ginn and Anthony Fasano each caught a touchdown pass for the Dolphins (2-3), who won their first home game against the Jets since 2005. Ricky Williams didn't score but rushed for 138 yards for Miami.
