'Gift' stays No. 1 on U.S. album chart

Los Angeles -- Susan Boyle's "The Gift" is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart for a second consecutive week, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.

Coming in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 is Jackie Evancho's "O Holy Night," followed by Rihanna's "Loud" at No. 3, Josh Groban's "Illuminations" at No. 4 and Kid Rock's "Born Free" at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Rascal Flatts's "Nothing Like This" at No. 6, Keith Urban's "Get Closer" at No. 7, the "Glee" cast's "Christmas Album" at No. 8, Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" at No. 9 and Nelly's "5.0" at No. 10.

Rounding out the top tier are Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party" at No. 6, Reba McEntire's "All the Women I Am" at No. 7, Sugarland's "The Incredible Machine" at No. 8, Cee Lo Green's "The Lady Killer" at No. 9 and Lil Wayne's "I Am Not a Human Being" at No. 10.

Boyle to release second CD

Los Angeles-- Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has recorded a holiday album called "The Gift" to be released in November, Columbia Records said.

The CD, which will be available Nov. 9, is to feature Boyle's rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear" with Amber Stassi, winner of Boyle's online talent contest.

Also included on Boyle's second album are "Perfect Day," "Hallelujah," "Don't Dream It's Over," "The First Noel," "O Holy Night," "Away in a Manger," "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace," "Auld Lang Syne" and "O Come All Ye Faithful."

Singer Susan Boyle to pen autobiography

London -- Scottish pop star Susan Boyle says she is working on her autobiography, "The Woman I Was Born to Be," which is to be published in the fall.

The 49-year-old singer became an overnight sensation last year after she appeared on the TV competition show "Britain's Got Talent" and the clip of her performance was watched by millions on the Internet.

"I'm writing this book to try to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and I hope it will benefit other people," the BBC quoted Boyle as saying.

Police detain man at Susan Boyle's home

Blackburn -- Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle told police she was entering her home in Blackburn late Tuesday when she saw a stranger run out of her house.

"Lothian and Borders Police were called to an address in Blackburn at around 9:50 p.m. yesterday following reports of a disturbance. A man was detained in connection with the incident and released without charge pending further inquiries," said a police statement released to People.com Wednesday.

No other details regarding the man or what he might have been doing at Boyle's house were immediately made available.
