Blige is Positively Beautifu

Los Angeles, September 11: Soul singer MARY J. BLIGE is to be honoured by the cosmetics industry - she has been named as the first recipient of the Positively Beautiful Award.

The No More Drama hitmaker has been singled out for praise by the HBA Global Expo, a product development event for cosmetic, fragrance and skin care companies.

Blige will be presented with the honour on Tuesday (15Sep09) at the Javits Center in New York.

The Positively Beautiful prize has been created to recognise stars who have a positive and inspiring influence on the lives of the cosmetics industry's customers.

Blige has been honoured for her music career, as well as her charity work.

Blige dismisses Idol rumours

Mary J. Blige has denied reports she's set to replace Paula Abdul as a permanent judge on reality TV competition American Idol.

The No More Drama hitmaker was booked as a guest panellist on the singing competition after Abdul's departure in August (09).

Idol producers have also roped in Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Shania Twain and Neil Patrick Harris to critique contestants alongside original judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on the upcoming season.

However, Blige insists she's not considering taking a permanent seat on the show.

The Things They Say:

"I have seven - I'm good. I've got everything I want. And, oh, it hurts.

Don't let anyone tell you it doesn't. It hurts, and it hurts really bad." Tattooed R&B singer Mary J. Blige has no plans to get more permanent ink.
