Mistaken identity causes pastor's arrest

Shreveport, La. -- A Louisiana pastor said he was mistakenly arrested and held for nearly 8 hours because he shares his name and birthday with a man wanted in Texas.

Gregory Jones, pastor of Eden Worship Center in Shreveport, said he was pulled over for speeding by a Caddo County sheriff's deputy and soon found himself handcuffed and on his way to Caddo Correctional Center, the Shreveport Times reported Monday.

"They said: 'You are wanted out of Austin, Texas, for parole violations and some other crimes,'" Jones said.

"I said: 'That's not me. I've never been to prison. I've never been on parole.'"

Jones said he was in custody for nearly 8 hours before an FBI fingerprint check verified his story.

Ahn shares LPGA lead in France

Evian-Les-Bains, France -- Ahn Sun-ju had an eagle on the 18th hole and is tied for the lead after the first round Thursday of the LPGA's Evian Masters in France.

Ahn ended up with a 6-under-par 66, a score matched by Morgan Pressel and Melissa Reid at the Evian Masters Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

M.J. Hur and Kim Song-hee are tied for fourth at 5-under 67 with seven golfers, including Michelle Wie, two strokes off the lead at 4-under 68. Defending champion and world No. 1 Ai Miyazato is among those at 3-under.
