Boyle suffers frog in throat on 'View'

NewYork -- Scottish singer Susan Boyle stopped her performance of "O Holy Night" mid-song on "The View" after her voice faltered and she couldn't continue.

The New York Post said "View" co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd came to Boyle's rescue as she stood smiling at the audience, which applauded loudly for her.

Goldberg then explained how singers sometimes get frogs in their throats while performing.

"Mine is always like that," she said. "But that happens to you periodically, but when you're performing, what can you really do except stop and say, 'I got a frog in my throat,' yeah?"
"Yeah, I know," Boyle said.

Susan Boyle performs for the pope

Glasgow, Scotland -- Scottish singer Susan Boyle says singing for Pope Benedict at a papal mass in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park has been a dream come true.

The New York Daily News said Boyle, a "Britain's Got Talent" finalist and practicing Catholic, performed for the pope Thursday.

The Daily News quoted Boyle as saying her dream of singing for the pope "has come true at last."

About 65,000 people turned out for the mass, during which Boyle sang "I Dreamed a Dream," "How Great Thou Art" and "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace," CBS News reported.

Susan Boyle invited to 'America's Got Talent'

London, June 17: Scottish singer Susan Boyle has been invited to perform on the US version of the reality show "Britain's Got Talent".

"America's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan said the singer is welcome to perform on the talent competition, reported people.com.

"Susan singing live to 25 million Americans? That would be great," added Morgan.

Boyle, who was briefly hospitalised for exhaustion in a clinic in London after she landed in second place on the British competition, has returned to performing. Simon Cowell, who produces both the American and British versions of the show, plans to bring her to the American stage.

Susan Boyle shines at 'Got Talent' event

Birmingham, England. -- Scottish singer Susan Boyle may not have won "Britain's Got Talent," but fans raved about her performance at a live tour concert in the city of Birmingham.

The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday that Boyle, who finished second on "Got Talent" in May, received rave reviews after performing Friday at the National Indoor Arena along with other stars from the ITV series.

"It's really great that she made it to the show. She was fantastic," Cathy Blair, 50, said of Boyle's performance.

Friday's show also included a performance from Diversity, a street dance group that took home the show's 2009 crown.
