Atlanta, July 21: Brian McCann homered and drove in four runs Tuesday, powering the Atlanta Braves' 8-1 romp over the San Francisco Giants.

Derek Lowe (9-7) allowed one run on seven hits and a walk in six innings.to earn the win, Atlanta's ninth in its last 12 games. Martin Prado went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI. Yunel Escobar also drove in a run.

San Francisco's Ryan Sadowski (2-2) failed to get out of the fourth inning in his fourth career start. The rookie right-hander, who entered the game with a 1.00 earned-run average, gave up eight runs on eight hits and three walks.

Juan Uribe drove in the lone run for the Giants, losers in five of their last six games.

MLB: Florida 7, San Francisco 0

San Francisco, July 8: Chris Volstad hurled a complete-game, five-hit shutout Wednesday, helping the Florida Marlins record a 7-0 rout of San Francisco.

His effort also averted a three-game sweep.

The 22-year-old right-hander in his second major league season retired the final 11 batters he faced in his first career complete game with no walks and six strikeouts to improve to 6-8.

The only run he would need scored on the second of three hits by John Baker, a one-out, fourth-inning single.

Dan Uggla's lone hit was a three-run, ninth-inning homer, his 16th this season.

MLB: San Francisco 13, Houston 0

San Francisco, July 4: Pablo Sandoval and Travis Ishikawa both had three RBI Friday and the San Francisco Giants produced 15 hits in rolling over Houston 13-0.

Ryan Sadowski (2-0), in only the second game of his major league career, allowed three hits over seven innings. He has thrown 13 innings in his brief stay with the Giants and has yet to give up a run.

Sandoval started the San Francisco attack with a two-run homer in the first inning and added an RBI triple as part of a four-run third. Ishikawa hit a three-run homer during a six-run second.

Felipe Paulino (2-4) was blasted for eight runs on nine hits in just two innings.

His poor outing came one start after he had limited Detroit to a run on three hits in seven frames.

MLB: San Francisco 7, Milwaukee 0

Milwaukee -- Ryan Sadowski gave up four hits in six scoreless innings Sunday, helping the San Francisco Giants avert a three-game sweep with a 7-0 win over Milwaukee.

Sadowski, in his major league debut, combined with relievers Bob Howry and Jonathan Sanchez on a four-hitter. Sadowski, a 12th-round pick by the Giants out of the University of Florida in 2003, was added to the roster in place of infielder Rich Aurilia, who is on bereavement leave attending a memorial service for his father.

Randy Winn led the winners with two hits and two RBI. Matt Downs and Nate Schierholtz hit solo homers and Schierholtz had four of the 13 hits for the Giants, who had split their previous four games.
