Justin Bieber dominated this year's American Music Awards, taking home four big music prizes last night. The Canadian singing sensation was the biggest winner at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California, where he beat out such veteran artists like Eminem, Lady Gaga and Usher.

Madrid hosts European Music Awards Sunday

Madrid -- "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria will host the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid, the television network said.

Scheduled to appear on Sunday's program are Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rihanna, the Kings of Leon, along with a host of other top musical talent, MTV said in a news release.

Rihanna said music fans not familiar with the European music scene would find out everything they need to know by watching the show.

Rihanna set to kick off AMAs broadcast

Los Angeles -- Recording star Rihanna has been booked to open the 2010 American Music Awards show in Los Angeles, organizers said Friday.

The announcement was made by Orly Adelson, president of dick clark productions.

This will mark Rihanna's fourth time performing on the AMAs. She joins a lineup of previously announced acts including Diddy-Dirty Money, Ne-Yo, Bon Jovi, P!nk, Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Usher.

Rihanna is nominated for an AMA in the Soul/Rhythm & Blues category for Favorite Female Artist.

The prize presentation is to be broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE Nov. 21 on ABC.

Rihanna missed Katy Perry’s wedding

When Katy Perry got hitched this weekend, one of her best friends Rihanna missed the wedding. Though the singer threw Katy a bachelorette bash in September, she failed to attend the big occasion.

Chris Brown working on comeback album

Los Angeles -- U.S. recording artist Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend Rihanna last year, says he is working on a new album.

Brown, 21, was sentenced to community service and probation for hitting Rihanna in early 2009.

He has since been working hard to put the past behind him and is currently gearing up to release a new album called "F.A.M.E.," TV's "Access Hollywood" reported Friday.

"The new album is called 'F.A.M.E.: Forgiving All My Enemies.' Basically just being able to witness my success, failure and success again," said Brown. "Being able to see me going from my best times to my worst, and being able to overcome it and growing (in)to a man, as I was doing it."
