Bachman & Turner reunite for new album

Los Angeles -- Canadian rockers Randy Bachman and Fred Turner say they are recording together again as Bachman & Turner after a 20-year hiatus.

Backed by Brent Howard, Marc LaFrance and Mick Dalla-Vee, the act is giving away its new track "Rock 'n' Roll is the Only Way Out" on its Web site www.bachmanandturner.com.

The band's as-yet-unnamed album is to be released Sept. 7 through E1 Music.

"I'm thrilled to be working on new music with Fred and feel a sense of excitement and anticipation," Bachman said in a statement Thursday. "I feel like I'm coming full circle with a completeness that I never ever thought I'd feel again."
