Redbox to remove grim Murphy posters

Los Angeles -- Redbox says it is working to remove promotional posters for the U.S. thriller "Deadline" that feature Brittany Murphy appearing lifeless in a bathtub.

The movie was released on DVD Dec. 1.

In a sad coincidence, Murphy was discovered dead in her bathroom last weekend.

Authorities said the 32-year-old actress died of cardiac arrest and the circumstances of her death are under investigation.

Officials at Redbox, a DVD rental company, told TMZ they started sending out teams this week to remove the eerie outdoor posters for "Deadline" from around the country, as well as the box art from their 19,000 rental kiosks in the wake of Murphy's death.
