Los Angeles -- P!nk's "Raise Your Glass" is No. 1 on the U.S. record chart, Billboard.com reported Thursday.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 is Katy Perry's "Firework," followed by Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)" at No. 3, Bruno Mars's "Just the Way You Are" at No. 4 and Rihanna's "What's My Name?" featuring Drake at No. 5.

Rounding out the top tier are Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" at No. 6, Far*East Movement's "Like a G6" featuring Cataracs & Dev at No. 7, Nelly's "Just a Dream" at No. 8,

The Black Eyed Peas's "The Time (Dirty Bit)" at No. 9 and "Grenade" by Bruno Mars at No. 10.

Woman fined $255 for dying poodle's paws

Jacksinville, Fla. -- A Florida woman who dyed her poodle's paws pink for Halloween said she was fined $255 by an animal control officer.

Christine Hill of Jacksonville said she used dye specifically made for dogs to color her poodle's paws for Halloween, WJXT-TV, Jacksonville, reported Wednesday.

"It goes on like shampoo and you rinse it off like shampoo," Hill said. "Everyone thinks it's cute."

However, Hill said she was confronted by an animal control officer Monday morning while she was with her dog in a field across from her house. She said the officer issued her a $255 citation for violating local and state laws against artificially coloring an animal's fur.

Microsoft, Verizon in talks to launch iPhone rival: report

San Francisco, April 29: Microsoft is in discussions with Verizon Wireless to launch a touch-screen multimedia cellphone in the US early next year in a bid to compete with Apple's iPhone.

While Microsoft is involved in the design of the phone's software and hardware, a third-party is expected to make the device, The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting sources close to the development.

Microsoft's project is code-named "Pink" and the cellphone would use the software giant's Windows Mobile operating system, the report said.

The news of a possible Microsoft-Verizon partnership came one day after another US newspaper reported that Verizon is in talks with Apple for the possible development of an iPhone for Verizon, with the goal of introducing it next year.
