Newport, R.I. -- Mardy Fish and Olivier Rochus reached the title match Saturday at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
Their victories came after the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which included the enshrinement of doubles greats Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde.
Fish earned a shot at what would be his fourth tour title by defeating Richard Bloomfield 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. Rochus eliminated Brian Dabul 6-3, 6-2.
Woodbridge and Woodforde, nicknamed "the Woodies," won 11 major championship doubles titles and 61 championships overall. Both players were ranked among the Top 20 in the world in singles play.

Newport, N.Y. -- Olivier Rochus of Belgium moved on to the semifinals of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, R.I., Tuesday by ousting Raven Klassen.
The fourth-seeded Rochus needed about an hour to dispatch the South African qualifier in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Also advancing to the semis was Argentine Brian Dabul, who ousted Jamaican Dustin Brown 6-4, 6-4.
Dabul and Rochus will meet in the semifinals Saturday.
The remaining two quarterfinal matches -- featuring American Mardy Fish vs. Frank Dancevic of Canada and Ryan Harrison of the United States vs. Britain's Richard Bloomfield -- are scheduled for Friday.

Newport, R.I. -- Fourth-seeded Olivier Rochus breezed past Edouard Roger-Vasselin Monday in the first round of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships at Newport, R.I.
Rochus posted a 7-6 (7-2) 6-4 win to advance to the second round of the grass-court tournament.
Eighth-seeded former Newport champ Taylor Dent was ousted by Japan's Go Soeda 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 after Dent racked up nine double faults and lost serve three times.
American wild card Ryan Harrison upended sixth-seeded Slovakian Karol Beck 6-1, 6-2 and Jamaican Dustin Brown prevailed over German Bjorn Phau 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (7-9), 6-4.

Casblanca, Morocco -- Two high seeds -- No. 6 German Simon Greul and No. 7 Belgian Olivier Rochus -- were ousted Tuesday at the Grand Prix Hassan II tennis tournament in Casablanca.
Greul was dispatched by Czech Jan Hajek 7-6 (7-3), 6-4, while Rochus was victimized by former top-10 Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-1, 6-1 on Day 2 at the clay courts of the Complexe Sportif al Amal.
Also Tuesday, Florent Serra of France, who finished second in last year's Casablanca event, defeated Spaniard Santiago Ventura 6-4, 6-3, while French compatriot Arnaud Clement blasted Spanish qualifier Ivan Navarro 6-3, 6-3.
Jarkko Nieminen of Finland had little trouble with Moroccan wild card Mehdi Ziadi 6-1, 6-1.

Key Biscayne, Fla -- Olivier Rochus pulled off a major surprise Friday by eliminating second-seeded Novak Djokovic in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami.
Djokovic, winner of the event three years ago, lost for just the fourth time in 19 matches this year. Rochus emerged with a 6-2, 6-7 (7-9), 6-4 victory that set up a third-round meeting with 27th-seeded Thomaz Bellucci.
Bellucci eliminated James Blake 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Rafael Nadal, seeded fourth and a two-time finalist here, coasted past Taylor Dent 6-4, 6-3.
No. 12 seed and former world No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero was in front of Daniel Koellerer 4-0 in the first set when Koellerer retired with an elbow injury.

Lyon, France -- Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gilles Simon easily won second-round matches Thursday at the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix in France.
Tsonga, the top seed, trounced Belgium's Olivier Rochus 6-3, 6-2. Simon was a 6-1, 6-2 victor against fellow Frenchman David Guez.
Tsonga, No. 8 in the latest men's world rankings, hit 13 service aces and lost only 12 service points.
He also saved the two break points he faced and converted 3-of-4 break points.
Simon needed just 52 minutes to beat Guez, saving six break points and winning four of five break-point chances.
Other Lyon winners Thursday were third-seeded Ivan Ljubicic of Croatia, and Frenchmen Arnaud Clement, Michael Llodra and Marc Gicquel.

Lyon, France -- Top-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga survived an upset bid by Kevin Kim Tuesday in the opening round of the Lyon Tennis Grand Prix in France.
Tsonga, a former runner-up at the Australian Open, defeated Kim 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) and will face either Olivier Rochus or Vincent Millot in the second round.
Rochus and Millot will square off Wednesday.
Ivan Ljubicic, the No. 3 seed and winner of this tournament eight years ago, advanced with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Martin Vassallo Arguello. No. 7 seed Benjamin Becker defeated Paolo Lorenzi 6-2, 6-2.
Fabrice Santoro, who has announced this season will be his last on the tour, played his final match in Lyon when he fell to No. 8 seed Albert Montanes.

Stockholm, Sweden -- Top-seeded Robin Soderling advanced to the Stockholm Open tennis tournament semifinals by winning in straight sets over Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
The native Swede, the only seeded player remaining, thrilled a partisan crowd with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 victory against his Spanish foe.
The 2008 Stockholm runner-up secured the match with three key service breaks, and at No. 10, entered the Top 10 for the first time in the latest world rankings this week.

New York, Sept. 4: Andy Roddick completed another good day for seeded players at the U.S. Open Thursday by coasting to a victory over Marc Gicquel.
No. 4 seed Novak Djokovic and eighth-seeded Nikolay Davydenko joined the fifth-seeded Roddick in the third round.
Roddick defeated Gicquel in a late-night match 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. That set up a third-round meeting with John Isner, who advanced Thursday by defeating Marsel Ilhan 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-1). Roddick has won both his previous meetings with Isner.
Djokovic moved into the third round with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 decision over Carsten Bell and Davydenko had no trouble in disposing of Jan Hernych 6-4, 6-1, 6-2.

Halle, Germany. -- Serbia's Novak Djokovic beat Belgium's Olivier Rochus in straight sets Saturday in one semifinal at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany.
The scores were 7-6 (9-7), 6-4.
During a tense first set, Rochus rallied back from a 0-3 deficit to force a tie-break, where Djokovic won the last three points.
In the second, the second-seeded Djokovic needed just one service break to wrap up his victory.
On Sunday, he will face Germany's Tommy Haas, a 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-3) victor against countryman Philipp Kohlschreiber, last year's runner-up.
"To make it to the finals with such a match is really special for me and the fact that it is in Germany makes it extra special," Haas said about his win.
