'Simpsons' renewed for 23rd season

Los Angeles -- Fox says it has renewed its U.S. animated sitcom "The Simpsons" for a 23rd season.

"Like many 22-year-olds, 'The Simpsons' is extremely happy remaining at home, on Fox, and hopes it doesn't have to go out into the real world for many years to come," Al Jean, the show's executive producer, told E! News.

Among the guests lined up to lend their voices to characters on the show are Halle Berry, Paul Rudd, Ricky Gervais, Rachel Weisz, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Alyson Hannigan, Martha Stewart and Katy Perry, E! News said.

 Well, the news is out. Expected to earn $0.12 per share in the third quarter, Force Protection (Nasdaq: FRPT) instead earned just a nickel -- and even that was "adjusted" profits. Under GAAP, the company lost money. Sales slipped 44% to $176 million. Investors promptly sold off the stock, although the pace of selling has since slowed. But, should it have?
