Report: Sheen found naked, drunk in hotel

New York -- Television star Charlie Sheen was found intoxicated and naked in a trashed Manhattan hotel room early Tuesday, sources told the New York Post.

Security at The Plaza Hotel called police shortly after 2 a.m. because they heard tables and chairs being tossed around Sheen's room. A chandelier was also damaged in the "Two and Half Men" actor's alleged rampage.

The Post said Sheen's ex-wife, Denise Richards, who was staying in a separate room, later accompanied Sheen to an unnamed hospital.

The reason for the hospital trip was not clear, the newspaper said.

Sheen, who has battled addictions to drugs and alcohol in the past, and Richards are the parents of two young daughters.

New York -- Organizers of New York's "Naked" Polar Bear Cruise said about 60 people stripped down to next to nothing on a ship's deck for a wildlife charity.

The Polar Bear Club and Circle Line Cruises, which sponsored the event, said participants stripped down on the deck of a cruise ship Saturday on the Hudson River to collect donations for each minute they spent in the cold wearing nearly nothing, the New York Daily News reported Monday.

Proceeds from the event went to the Wildlife Conservation Society, which runs the city's Bronx Zoo.

"You're doing this for wildlife, but you're nuts," Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz told participants before the cruise.
