Verizon, Apple, spar over iPhone

Cupertino, Calif. -- U.S. phone carrier Verizon plans to continue with music and video sales after it begins to carry Apple's iPhone, sources told The Wall Street Journal.

Cellphones can do only so much, the researchers say, as long as many Africans still struggle in poverty and still lack reliable electricity, clean drinking water, education or access to roads.
