Lake Buena Vista, Fla. -- The Toronto Blue Jays shipped starting pitcher Shaun Marcum to Milwaukee Monday during baseball's winter meetings in Florida, the teams said.
In exchange, the Blue Jays received Canadian-born minor league infielder Brett Lawrie from the Brewers.
Marcum rebounded from elbow surgery with a successful 2010 season, during which he went 13-8 with a 3.64 ERA in 31 starts after missing all of the preceding year.
The 29-year-old right-hander compiled a career record of 37-25 with a 3.85 ERA in 120 games over five years with Toronto, with 95 starts.

Denver -- Nene fueled a second-half comeback Wednesday and the Denver Nuggets, despite losing Carmelo Anthony to an ejection, defeated Milwaukee 105-94.
Anthony was kicked out of the game near the end of the third period after picking up two technical fouls in the span of 46 seconds. Nevertheless, the Nuggets overcame a five-point halftime deficit to win their fifth straight.
Nene scored 24 points, hitting 8-of-9 from the field, and J.R. Smith added 20 with 10 rebounds. Anthony scored 14 before leaving the floor.
John Salmons had 21 points for Milwaukee. The Bucks have lost seven out of eight.

Charlotte, N.C. -- His motor mouth and slow feet got Charlotte Bobcats guard Stephen Jackson suspended without pay for one game.
Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president for basketball operations, said Tuesday Jackson was disciplined for verbally abusing a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner after being ejected in the first quarter of Charlotte's Saturday loss to Milwaukee.
The suspension means Jackson will miss the Bobcats' game at New Orleans Wednesday.

St. Louis - Casey McGehee had three hits, including a two-run homer, Tuesday to help the Milwaukee Brewers edge St. Louis 3-2.
Dave Bush (6-10) turned in six solid innings for the Brewers, who held off the Cardinals after scoring all three of their runs in the third inning.
Bush, who chalked up his first win since July 25, was charged with one run on four hits and three strikeouts. John Axford recorded his 18th save.
Jaime Garcia (10-6) took the loss after allowing three unearned runs on five hits over six innings.

Milwaukee -- Stephen Drew drove in the go-ahead runs with a 10th-inning single Monday and the Arizona Diamondbacks downed Milwaukee 7-4.
The Diamondbacks loaded the bases with a double and two walks off Trevor Hoffman (2-5) and Drew followed by grounding a two-out single up the middle, scoring Kelly Johnson and Miguel Montero for a 6-4 lead.
Pinch-hitter Ryan Church then chipped in with another run-scoring hit to pace Arizona to a win in the first of a four-game set at Miller Park.
Sam Demel (1-0) collected his first major league victory and Aaron Heilman notched his sixth save despite allowing three singles in the bottom of the 10th.
Prince Fielder got two hits and drove in a run for the Brewers.

Chicago -- Casey McGehee had two RBI and Prince Fielder also drove in a run Tuesday in the Milwaukee Brewers' 4-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
Fielder had two hits and Ryan Braun had three for the Brewers who totaled 11 hits in game as did the Cubs.
Fielder's RBI single in the third inning put the Brewers ahead for good.
The loss spoiled the major league debut of Cubs starter Thomas Diamond (0-1) who struck out 10 but gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings. Chicago has lost seven in a row.
Chris Naverson (9-7) picked up the win. He limited Chicago to one run on six hits and struck out six in 5 2/3 innings. John Axford earned his 16th save despite giving up a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Milwaukee -- Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews are to headline this year's U.S. music and food festival, organizers said.
The 25th anniversary fundraiser is to take place Oct. 2 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
Farm Aid founders Nelson and Mellencamp joined Executive Director Carolyn Mugar by webcast at an on-field news conference Monday at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers to reveal details about the all-day music festival.

Atlanta -- Ryan Braun's two-run homer highlighted a 16-hit Milwaukee attack Friday and helped send the Brewers to a 9-3 triumph over Atlanta.
The offensive surge allowed Randy Wolf (7-8) to pick up a victory over the Braves for the first time in seven years. He had made 12 starts against Atlanta in that span without a win.
Wolf gave up three runs on seven hits in six innings and left the game with a 6-3 cushion.
Braun hit his third homer in four games in the third inning to give Milwaukee a 4-0 lead and the Brewers broke things open with a three-run eighth that included a two-run double from Prince Fielder.
It was Milwaukee's fourth victory in five games.

Milwaukee -- Corey Hart delivered a game-winning, two-run homer in the ninth inning Sunday to boost the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 decision over Pittsburgh.
Jim Edmonds began the Brewers' winning rally with a ground-rule double off Octavio Dotel (2-2), and two batters later Hart blasted a pitch for his 21st homer of the season, allowing Milwaukee to sweep a three-game series from the Pirates going into the All-Star break.
The game-winner came after Pittsburgh took a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth when Andrew McCutchen's sacrifice fly scored Ronny Cedeno.
Ryan Braun was 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored for Milwaukee.
The Brewers sport a 40-49 record entering the break.
