NFL: Atlanta 31, Carolina 10

Charlotte, N.C. -- Michael Turner scored three TDs, finishing with 112 yards on 28 carries Sunday in the Atlanta Falcons' 31-10 win over Carolina.

Matt Ryan connected on 20-of-34 pass attempts for 227 yards with one touchdown for the Falcons (11-2), who posted their seventh straight win.

The Falcons came into the game with a one-game lead over New Orleans in the NFC South and were seeking to secure a playoff spot with a Philadelphia loss.

The lowly Panthers (1-12) tumbled again despite 133 yards from 18 carries from Jonathan Stewart.

Jimmy Clausen went 14-of-24 passing for 107 yards in Carolina's loss.

NFL: Atlanta 45, San Francisco 10

San Francisco, Oct. 11 -- Atlanta's Michael Turner ran for three touchdowns and Roddy White scored two Sunday, helping the Falcons crush the San Francisco 49ers 45-10.

Turner got the game's first TD in the first quarter on a 7-yard run and scored on 3- and 1-yard runs in the second.

White caught touchdown passes from Matt Ryan on plays covering 31 and 90 yards, finishing with 210 yards in eight receptions.

The Falcons (3-1) tallied 35 points in the first half.

Ryan was 22-of-32 for 329 yards.

Glen Coffee ran 2 yards for a touchdown for the 49ers (3-2).

San Francisco quarterback Shaun Hill was 15-of-38 for 198 yards, with an interception.

NFL: New England 26, Atlanta 10

Foxborough, Mass., Sept. 27: Fred Taylor ran for a touchdown, Tom Brady passed for another and Stephen Gostkowski kicked four field goals for New England Sunday in a 26-10 win over Atlanta.

Taylor rushed for 105 yards, including an 8-yard TD, and Brady completed 25-of-42 passes for 277 yards. His scoring toss to Chris Baker covered 36 yards.

Gostkowski booted field goals of 21, 33, 22 and 33 yards.

Randy Moss caught 10 passes for 116 yards for the Patriots (2-1).

Matt Ryan was 17-of-28 for 199 yards for the Falcons (2-1).

Michael Turner ran for a 2-yard touchdown and Jason Elam kicked a 26-yard field goal for Atlanta.

NFL: Atlana 20, St. Louis 17

St. Louis, Aug. 22: Matt Ryan turned in a near-perfect first period Friday and Atlanta used the quick start to put together a 20-13 exhibition win over St. Louis.

Ryan started all 16 games at quarterback in his rookie season with the Falcons last year and looked in good form Friday while completing 7-of-8 passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.

He drove Atlanta 77 yards on its opening possession, with Michael Turner scoring on a 1-yard run. The Falcons then marched 70 yards in eight plays, a drive Ryan finished by hitting Tony Gonzalez with a 14-yard pass.

Kyle Boller was 9-of-16 for 91 yards, but the Rams could manage only one touchdown. That came on a 20-yard throw from Brock Berlin to Derek Stanley in the third period.
