NBA: Sacramento 104, Utah 99

Salt Lake City -- Sacramento got a big night from rookie Tyreke Evans, who scored 32 points to pace the Kings to a 104-99 win over the Utah Jazz Saturday.

Along with a career-high scoring night, Evans notched seven assists as the Kings coped with the loss of guard Kevin Martin for the first time after he suffered a fractured left wrist.

Beno Udrih chipped in with 15 points and Andres Nocioni scored 14 for Sacramento.

Jason Thompson had 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Donte Greene hit 10 points.

The Jazz closed to within 99-95 with 17.5 second left on a 3-pointer by Deron Williams, who totaled 29 points and 15 assists on the night. But that was as close Utah got.

NBA: Dallas 96, Utah 85

Dallas -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 40 points, including a franchise record 29 in the fourth quarter, to power the Dallas Mavericks past Utah 96-85 Tuesday.

Dallas trailed by 16 at the start of the fourth quarter but outscored the Jazz 44-18 to grab the win.

"My mentality in the fourth was to go out there and make things happen," said Nowitzki, who also had 11 rebounds, five assists and five blocked shots. "I think what really helped was we got to the bonus real quick in the fourth by being aggressive and driving to the basket. We were shooting free throws the rest of the way and that helped us get back into the game."

NBA: Utah 120, Minnesota 103

Minneapolis -- Mehmet Okur led seven Utah players in double figures with 25 points Wednesday, carrying the Jazz to a 120-103 decision over Minnesota.

Utah won its sixth straight, opening a road trip after completing a perfect five-game homestand.

Ronnie Brewer had 20 points for the Jazz, C.J. Miles had 15 and Deron Williams 13 to go with 13 assists.

Minnesota, losers of four straight and nine out of 10, got 24 points from both Kevin Love and Ryan Gomes.

The game was tied early in the fourth quarter, but Brewer hit a 3-pointer that touched off a 10-2 Utah run.

Utah has defeated Minnesota in four straight meetings, three of them coming this season.
