NBA: New Orleans 93, Detroit 74

New Orleans -- David West and Marco Belinelli combined for 47 points Wednesday, pushing the New Orleans Hornets to an easy 93-74 victory over Detroit.

West and Belinelli teamed to make 18-of-32 shots from the field and the Hornets hit 50 percent of its field goal attempts.

West scored 25 points and Belinelli had a season-best 22. His previous high scoring effort had been 20 against Cleveland Nov. 17.

Chris Paul had 14 assists and five steals, helping New Orleans ended a two-game skid. The Hornets played their first home game since NBA Commissioner David Stern announced the league would purchase the franchise.

New Orleans had a 10-point lead at halftime and expanded it to 20 midway through the third period.

NBA: LA Clippers 99, New Orleans 95

Los Angeles -- Eric Gordon netted 27 points and Blake Griffin added 24 Monday in the Los Angeles Clippers' 99-95 win over New Orleans.

Griffin pulled down 13 rebounds and Al-Farouq Aminu added 16 points for the Clippers, who broke a nine-game losing streak and raised their season's record to 2-13.

Los Angeles also ended a 14-game losing streak to the Hornets with the rare victory.

Brian Cook's free throw with 13 seconds left put the Clippers up 91-90.

David West and Trevor Ariza each missed shots in the closing seconds that could have won or tied the game for the Hornets.

West led all scorers with 30 points and Chris Paul and Marco Belinelli each chipped in with 14 points in New Orleans' loss.

NBA: New Orleans 107, Portland 87

New Orleans -- The New Orleans Hornets used a combined 36 points from David West and Marco Belinelli Saturday to notch a 107-87 win over Portland.

The pair got 18 points each, while Emeka Okafor scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Chris Paul, Peja Stojakovic and Willie Green added 11 each for the Hornets, who are 5-0 at home.

The loss was the third in the Trail Blazers' last four games. Portland languished offensively, with Nicolas Batum (16 points), Andre Miller (14) and Wesley Matthews (also 14) providing what little firepower Portland had.

NBA: Toronto 110, Detroit 99

Toronto -- Chris Bosh scored 25 points with eight rebounds Wednesday, leading the Toronto Raptors to a 110-99 win over the Detroit Pistons.

A 44-28 second period gave Toronto complete control.

Detroit held a 28-24 first-period advantage but after Marco Belinelli's driving layup put Toronto in front 33-31 with 9:59 left in the first half, Detroit never regained the lead.

Andrea Bargnani scored 22 with 12 rebounds, Hedo Turkoglu had 17 with seven rebounds and six assists, and Antoine Wright scored 12 with five rebounds for the Raptors, who have started the season by splitting their first four games.
