Busch wins, Gibbs takes owner's title

Homestead, Fla. -- Kyle Busch took the season-ending Ford 300 race in Florida Saturday, handing Joe Gibbs Racing the Nationwide Series owner's championship.

Busch was dominant at Homestead-Miami Speedway, leading for 153 of 200 laps. He took the lead from Kevin Harvick just after the final restart with 23 laps remaining and bested him by 0.85 seconds at the finish.

Busch extended his record for most Nationwide wins in a season with his 13th victory of 2010 -- his 43rd career crown. His latest triumph puts him five victories shy of tying Mark Martin's career wins record of 48.

The Homestead win also gave Busch's No. 18 JGR Toyota team the owner's title by 71 points over Brad Keselowski's No. 22 Penske Racing Dodge team.

Busch fined for gesture toward officials

Daytona Beach, Fla. -- NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was fined $25,000 and put on probation Tuesday for making an inappropriate gesture and verbally abusing officials.

The actions came after a tough Sunday for the veteran driver at Texas Motor Speedway during which he gave "the finger" to officials while in the pits to serve a drive-through penalty.

Busch ended in 32nd place.

The fiery driver had also angrily stormed out of a press conference Saturday following his close loss to Carl Edwards in last weekend's Nationwide Series event.

Edwards wins Texas; Keselowski takes title

Fort Worth, Texas -- Carl Edwards edged Kyle Busch during a two-lap overtime and Brad Keselowski won his first Nationwide Series title Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway.

Edwards denied Busch his sixth Nationwide title and instead handed it to Keselowski with his first-place finish at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge.

Edwards took over the lead after passing Trevor Bayne following a late-race restart. A green-white-checkered finish was set up after separate incidents involving Brian Scott and Clint Bowyer in the closing laps.

Fontana, Calif. -- Kyle Busch extended his record Nationwide Series winning streak to 12 races Saturday with his victory in the CampingWorld.com 300.

Busch easily pulled away in the final five laps after a restart at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., overcoming an earlier speeding penalty to nail down the 42nd win of his career.

Busch is now only six victories shy of tying Mark Martin's all-time record for most wins in the series.

Current Nationwide points leader Brad Keselowski came in second.

Kevin Harvick, meanwhile, led for the most laps Saturday but blew a potential victory thanks to two pit stop blunders, eventually settling for third.

Carl Edwards came in fourth and Joey Logano rounded out the top five.

Busch wins record 11th Nationwide race

Dover, Del. -- Kyle Busch won his NASCAR-record 11th Nationwide Series race of the season Saturday, edging Joey Logano to take the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway.

Busch held the lead for all but eight of the 200 laps and was able to fight off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Logano down the stretch to win by 0.4 seconds.

Busch broke the old record of 10 Nationwide victories in a single season originally set by Sam Ard in 1983 and then equaled by Busch in 2008. In the process, he claimed his third career win at the one-mile Dover track.

Third place went to Carl Edwards while Reed Sorenson and Kevin Harvick rounded out the Top 5.

Bristol, Tenn. -- Kyle Busch easily won Saturday's Sprint Cup NASCAR race at Bristol Motor Speedway to cap an historic, three-win week in Tennessee.

Busch's victory in the 500-lap event made him the first driver in NASCAR history to win all three of its national touring series races in the same week -- he also won the Camping World Truck race and the Nationwide event at Bristol earlier this week.

Busch, who led for 142 of 201 laps, collected his eighth victory of the season and 38th of his Nationwide career while winning at ORP for the third time. The victory tied him with Morgan Shepherd for most Nationwide Series wins at O'Reilly.

Busch, who also won Saturday's Dover Nationwide Series event, crossed the finish line 7.5 seconds ahead of Jeff Burton, winning his second race in the last three Sprint Cup Series contests.

Burton claimed second place after passing Matt Kenseth as the race wound down, relegating Kenseth to third.
