Kathy Griffin again uses profanities on CNN’s New Year coverage

New York, January 2 -- The New Year, for Kathy Griffin, probably is a new start to her old habits. Once again, she shot vulgarity towards the live audience watching her on CNN’s special broadcast for New Year’s Eve.

Griffin to host comedic dance show

Los Angeles -- U.S. comedian and television personality Kathy Griffin has been tapped to serve as host of "Let's Dance," a new comedic dance program, ABC said.

From "American Idol" producers FremantleMedia North America, the show features stars competing for charity as they pay homage to some of the most famous movie, musical and pop video dance routines of all time, the network said in a release.

"Let's Dance" is to kick off its five-episode run with a live 90-minute premiere Nov. 23, following the Season 9 finale broadcast of "Dancing with the Stars."

Additional episodes are to air Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, with the finale planned for Dec. 15.

Griffin set for 'Letterman' appearance

New york -- U.S. actress and comedienne Kathy Griffin is scheduled to make her first visit to the "Late Show with David Letterman" in nearly 12 years, CBS said.

Griffin is to be a guest on the episode set to air Wednesday.

Also to be featured on the broadcast will be a Stupid Human Tricks segment, musical guests Sonic Youth and an NBA Finals Game 3 report by Phoenix Suns star and special "Late Show" correspondent Steve Nash, the network said.

Griffin is expected to discuss the new season of her Emmy Award-winning reality show, "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List." She last appeared on the "Late Show" July 24, 1997.
