Detroit -- Minnesota first baseman Justin Morneau indicated Saturday he would likely have to miss next week's Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Anaheim.
Morneau was out of the lineup for the third straight day Saturday when the Twins took on the Detroit Tigers. He is suffering from post-concussion symptoms, the result of being hit in the head by a knee while sliding into second base last Wednesday in Toronto.
"If I don't play here (in Detroit on Sunday), I'm not going to go there (Anaheim)," Morneau told reporters prior to Saturday's game.
When Minnesota Manager Ron Gardenhire was asked if Morneau would play Sunday, he said, "I would say no."

Milwaukee -- Milwaukee residents have another choice when they want to party, and it's not one you go to -- it comes to you, courtesy of pedal power, observers say.
Called the Milwaukee Pedal Tavern, the 16-person bicycle-powered celebration has been seen at pub crawls, graduation parties and bachelor or bachelorette affairs, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Thursday.
Owned by partners Ryan Lloyd and Derek Collins, it can be rented for about $160 an hour, the newspaper said.
The idea started in Europe, Lloyd said, where it is popular in Germany and the Netherlands.

Minneapolis -- Minnesota Twins first baseman Justin Morneau has a stress fracture in his back and will miss the remainder of the 2009 season, the team said Tuesday.
Morneau, the 2006 American League Most Valuable Player, was leading the Twins with 30 home runs and 100 RBI, but has been hobbled by injuries recently. He was hitting .274, but had only batted .173 (21 for 121, with 4 home runs and 17 runs batted in) since Aug. 1.
"You can play through the pain if you feel like you're helping the team or doing something to help your teammates out and win ballgames," Morneau said. "When you go out there and you don't feel like you're helping anyone, that's when you kind of take a step back and go, 'All right, maybe I'm doing more harm than good.' "

Minneapolis, July 8: Minnesota first baseman Justin Morneau has declined to defend his title Monday at baseball's home run derby during All-Star festivities.
The annual event, which precedes the All-Star Game, will crown a new champion at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
"I'd love to sit there and watch just as a fan," Morneau said on the team's Web site this week.
The American League's 2006 American League MVP made the decision shortly after he won AL Player of the Week honors.
Last year at Yankee Stadium in New York, he was beaten in the first round by Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton, but won the event 5-3 in the finals after Hamilton appeared to have become arm weary.
