Bridgeview, Ill. July 11: Jon Busch had his fourth shutout Saturday to help the Chicago Fire gain first place in the MSL Eastern Conference with a 0-0 draw against Columbus.

Chicago (6-3-7) is winless in its last six home matches -- four draws and two losses -- but still holds a one-point edge over D.C. United.

Columbus (5-3-9) remained one point behind Chicago and is even with United on points in the East.

Will Hesmer made five saves for the Crew to earn his second shutout in seven matches this season.

East Rutherford, N.J. -- The Chicago Fire, with goalkeeper Jon Busch making 10 saves, stayed unbeaten in 2009 Sunday, edging Red Bull New York 1-0 in Major League Soccer.

Chris Rolfe scored for the Fire as time run out in the first half.

Chicago (4-0-6) leads the Eastern Conference by two points over Toronto FC and
D.C. United.

New York (2-6-3) is tied with Columbus for last place in the East.

Toronto -- The Chicago Fire recorded a 2-0 win over Toronto FC Saturday to snap a Major League Soccer record streak of five consecutive draws.

The Fire's goals were scored by Chris Rolfe in the 59th minute and Brian McBride in the 81st.

They improved to 3-0-6, but are only third in the Eastern Conference despite being the lone MLS team without a loss this season.

It was their first win since April 5, when they beat New York 1-0.

The Reds (3-3-4) lost despite attempting 11 shots -- three on goal -- against Chicago goalkeeper Jon Busch.

Toronto is 1-1-2 in MLS games since coach John Carver resigned on April 25.
