Milwaukee, Sept. 27: Jimmy Rollins had three hits Sunday, including a solo homer, leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a 6-5 win over Milwaukee.
The homer, Rollins' 21st this season, was a leadoff blast against losing pitcher Dave Bush (5-9) in the top of the first.
Shane Victorino hit a two-run second-inning double, Pedro Feliz hit a two-run fifth-inning single, Ryan Howard had two hits and one RBI, and Chase Utley added two hits for the Phillies, who reduced their magic number for clinching the NL East to three with seven games left in the regular season.
Winner Joe Blanton surrendered five runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Ryan Madson earned his ninth save.

Miami, Sept. 22: Anibal Sanchez pitched eight shutout innings and Dan Uggla and Cody Ross hit solo home runs Tuesday to give the Florida Marlins a 3-0 win over Philadelphia.
MIAMI, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Anibal Sanchez pitched eight shutout innings and Dan Uggla and Cody Ross hit solo home runs Tuesday to give the Florida Marlins a 3-0 win over Philadelphia.
The win came in the second game of a doubleheader after Philadelphia won the first game 9-3.
Sanchez (3-7) allowed just two hits -- both to Chase Utley -- walked two and struck out seven for his first win in six starts. Leo Nunez got his 24th save with a perfect ninth.
Hanley Ramirez added two hits, including an RBI double.

Miami, Sept. 22 -- Joe Blanton gave up two hits in seven shutout innings Tuesday to pitch Philadelphia to a 9-3 win over Florida in the opener of a doubleheader.
Blanton (11-7), who struck out nine, won for the fourth time in his last five decisions and ran a scoreless streak to 13 innings over his last two starts.
Ryan Howard hit a two-run single as part of Philadelphia's five-run eighth inning and had three RBI for the Phillies, who have won eight of nine. Raul Ibanez hit his 32nd home run of the season.
Florida's Josh Johnson (15-5) struck out 10 over five innings but gave up four runs and seven hits in the loss. Burke Badenhop came on to allow an additional four runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Philadelphia, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Joe Blanton threw six shutout innings Wednesday and Jayson Werth hit a grand slam, carrying Philadelphia to a 6-1 win over Washington.
The Phillies won their fourth in a row and remained seven games in front of Florida in the National League East.
Blanton (10-7) won for the first time since Aug. 30. He allowed five hits, walked four and struck out seven.
Chan Ho Park and Ryan Madson kept the shutout going by working one inning each and Tyler Walker surrendered two hits and Washington's only run in the ninth.
Philadelphia had a 2-0 lead going into the seventh and reliever Tyler Clippard retired the first two men in the inning. Clippard then hit Chase Utley with a pitch and was relieved by Sean Burnett.

Washington, Sept. 10: Ian Desmond had his first major league hit, his first RBI and his first home run Thursday to highlight the Washington Nationals' 8-7 victory over Philadelphia.
Desmond, who has spent six years in the minor leagues, finally was called up to the majors this month and got the start Thursday at shortstop for a team that has lost 92 games.
His heroics helped the Nationals build an 8-2 lead going into the ninth and they survived a five-run Philadelphia outburst to halt a two-game skid.
The Phillies had the tying run on third and the go-ahead run on first with one out in the ninth before Ryan Howard grounded into a double play to end the game.

Philadelphia, Aug. 7: Ricky Nolasco teamed with two relievers on a four-hitter Friday, and Florida came up with two homers to edge Philadelphia 3-2.
The Marlins ended a three-game losing streak and inched within six games of Philadelphia for the lead in the National League East.
Nolasco (8-7) allowed all four Philadelphia hits, one of them a two-run homer by Ben Francisco in the seventh.
Renyel Pinto escaped trouble in the eighth after walking two batters, and Leo Nunez worked a perfect ninth for his 10th save.
Nick Johnson hit a home run as the second batter of the game, and Dan Uggla added an RBI double later in the first inning.
Cody Ross gave Florida a 3-0 lead by leading off the second with his 19th homer of the year.

Philadelphia-- Joe Blanton and three relievers combined on a four-hit shutout Sunday, leading the Philadelphia Phillies' 2-0 win over the New York Mets for a three-game sweep.
Blanton (5-4) surrendered the four hits in 7 1/3 innings. He walked three batters and fanned five while throwing 111 pitches.
After relief stints by J.C. Romero and Chan Ho Park, closer Brad Lidge recorded his 16th save by striking out the side in the top of the ninth.
Philadelphia's runs scored on solo homers by Jimmy Rollins in the first and Chase Utley in the sixth. Rollins had two of the three hits for the Phillies, whose pitchers gave up just three runs during the sweep.
Luis Castillo had two of the four hits for the Mets, who have lost five in a row to the Phillies.

St. Petersburg, Fla. June 24: Pat Burrell drove in three runs Wednesday, two of them with a second-inning homer, and Tampa Bay pulled away late for a 7-1 win over Philadelphia.
The teams have split the first two games of their rematch of the 2008 World Series.
Burrell's homer was only his second of the season following a lengthy stay on the disabled list with a neck injury.
The two-run blast was the only damage the Rays could do against Philadelphia starter Joe Blanton (4-4), but they piled on five runs in the eighth against two relievers.
Burrell drove in the first run in the eighth with a fielder's choice grounder, after which Jason Bartlett had a two-run single and Gabe Gross delivered a two-run double.

Florida got all three of its runs in the ninth inning off two relief pitchers before Brad Lidge got the last two outs for his ninth save.
Shane Victorino had four hits, including two doubles, and Pedro Feliz drove in two runs for the Phillies, who have won nine of their last 12 games.
Cody Ross had three of Florida's six hits.
