Denver -- Jason Marquis and Huston Street combined on a six-hit shutout Friday, carrying the Houston Astros to a 3-0 blanking of San Diego.
Marquis (7-3) gave up all six hits and struck out six while throwing just 103 pitches over eight innings.
Jim Tracy, managing his first game for the Rockies, then made his first big decision on the job by calling on Street to finish off the game. Street needed nine pitches to work a perfect inning and grab his eighth save.
Tracy was named manager earlier in the day when the Rockies dismissed Clint Hurdle. Colorado had lost its previous three games.
Yorvit Torrealba had an RBI single in the second, producing the only earned run of the game.
