Alba makes donation after shark incident

Oklahoma City -- A spokeswoman for United Way of Central Oklahoma said actress Jessica Alba made an undisclosed donation to the group after vandalizing a United Way billboard.

Alba, 28, made headlines recently when she plastered posters of great white sharks around Oklahoma City -- where she had been shooting a movie -- to raise awareness about the species' dwindling numbers.

The "Fantastic Four" actress publicly apologized for her actions and police said none of the owners of the property Alba papered wished to press vandalism charges against her.

"We're very pleased she made a contribution," United Way spokeswoman Erin
Brewer told the Oklahoman newspaper.

E! News said the amount of the donation was not disclosed.

No vandalism charges for Alba

Oklahoma City -- Police in Oklahoma City say actress Jessica Alba won't be charged after plastering posters around town to raise awareness regarding endangered sharks.

The investigation has been closed because no one wants to press charges, the police told TMZ Monday.

Alba was photographed earlier this month putting up posters of great white sharks in an effort to draw attention to the species' dwindling numbers.

While police last week said they considered charging her with vandalism, the "Fantastic Four" actress issued an apology for her actions and the owners of the properties on which Alba glued the posters said they didn't want to see her prosecuted.

The actress had been in Oklahoma City filming a movie at the time of the incident.

Property owners don't want Alba charged

Oklahoma City -- The owners of the Oklahoma City properties Jessica Alba papered with white shark posters say they don't want to see the actress charged with vandalism.

The "Fantastic Four" star has publicly apologized for the stunt she pulled in an effort to raise awareness about the species' dwindling population.

However, police said they are still considering charging her after the city's parks department filed a complaint, The Oklahoman reported.

Oklahoma City crews helped remove the posters from various spots around town.

But most of the parties affected said they had no plans to press charges against Alba, who was in the area filming a movie, the newspaper said.
