Frisco, Texas -- Jeff Cunningham's 132nd career goal Saturday tied the Major League Soccer record and helped FC Dallas clinch a post-season spot with a 3-0 win over Chicago.

Milton Rodriguez and Marvin Chavez also scored for Dallas (12-2-13).

The victory also extended Dallas's unbeaten streak to 18 games, tying it for the league record. Dallas is in the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Cunningham got his 11th goal of the season in the second half. It tied him with D.C. United's Jaime Moreno for the all-time lead.

The Fire (7-11-8) are still mathematically alive in the playoff race, but have to win their last four matches to have any chance of qualifying.

MLS: Dallas 2, San Jose 1

Santa Clara, Calif., Oct. 8: Jeff Cunningham scored the winning goal in the 81st minute Wednesday to give FC Dallas its third straight victory -- 2-1 over San Jose.

Cunningham leads the league with 17 goals this season and his latest one kept alive his team's hopes for a playoff berth.

San Jose (7-13-7) was eliminated from playoff contention.

It was the fourth win in five games for Dallas (10-12-6), which took the lead in the fifth minute on a goal by David Ferreira.

San Jose tied it on Quincy Amarikwa's goal in the 73rd minute.

MLS: Dallas 1, New England 0

Dallas, Sept. 30 -- Jeff Cunningham scored in the 71st minute Wednesday to give FC Dallas a 1-0 Major League Soccer victory over New England.

It was the 16th goal of the season for Cunningham, tops in MLS.

Dallas (9-12-6) has won three of its last four matches by a combined score of 12-6. Its 45 goals through 27 games leads the league.

Cunningham's goal kept the slim Dallas playoffs hopes alive, moving the Hoops within five points of a post-season spot.

The Revolution (10-9-7) have just one win in their last five matches and are in third place in the Western Conference.

MLS: Dallas 1, Houston 0

Frisco, Texas Aug. 6: Jeff Cunningham followed up a big game Saturday by scoring the only goal of the contest Thursday, giving Dallas a 1-0 decision over Houston.

Cunningham produced four goals in a 6-0 victory over Kansas City last weekend.

He scored in the 20th minute against Houston Thursday for the 113th goal of his career. Cunningham is the third leading scorer in the history of MLS.

Dallas (6-9-5) has won back-to-back games for the first time this season and moved into a share of third place in the Western Conference with Salt Lake.

Houston (10-6-5) still has the best record in the league despite posting only one win in its last five matches.

MLS: Dallas 2, New York 1

Frisco, Texas July 4: Jeff Cunningham scored two first-half goals Saturday to lead FC Dallas to a 2-1 victory against the New York Red Bulls.

Cunningham scored his second goal of the season in the 15th minute and added another two minutes later. Juan Pablo Angel scored for New York just before halftime.

The result drops New York's (2-13-4) road record to 0-10-1 on the season and runs their winless streak to 10 games.

Dallas (4-7-5) has lost just once in its last eight games and has seven points in its last three matches.
