NBA: Dallas 103, Utah 97

Dallas -- Jason Terry hit a 3-pointer with 7.6 seconds left Saturday, handing Dallas its 12th straight win, a 103-97 victory over Utah.

Terry finished with 14 points for Dallas, which almost wasted a 25-point lead before hanging on to improve to 19-4, the second-best record in the NBA.

The Mavericks got 31 points and 15 rebounds from Dirk Nowitzki, who connected on 10-of-12 shots from the field. DeShawn Stevenson contributed 17 points and Caron Butler had 16.

The Jazz offense was keyed by Deron Williams' game-high 34 points.
Paul Millsap scored 16 points and Ronnie Price had 14 for Utah, which lost its first road game in seven outings.

NBA: Dallas 105, Sacramento 103

Sacramento -- Jason Terry made a critical steal in the closing seconds Saturday that protected a Dallas lead and boosted the Mavericks to a 105-103 victory over Sacramento.

Dallas won its ninth straight game and equaled San Antonio for the best road record in the NBA at 8-1.

The Mavericks held the Kings to two points over the final 3:15, overcoming a late seven-point deficit.

Tyson Chandler gave Dallas the lead for good at 103-101 by making two free throws with 54 seconds left. Dirk Nowitzki then blocked a shot by Carl Landry and that led to Jason Kidd making two more foul shots for a four-point lead.

NBA: Dallas 129, Toronto 101

Dallas -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points and Dallas had a 10-0 run in the third quarter to down the Toronto Raptors 129-101 Saturday.

Nowitzki also pulled down nine rebounds, while Jason Terry scored 19 and Shawn Marion added 18 points as Dallas cruised to its fourth win in five games.

A 3-pointer by Nowitzki ignited the decisive third-quarter spurt, in which the Mavericks widened their lead to from 60-52 to 70-52.

Josh Howard contributed 16 points for Dallas, who have won 10 straight home contests over the Raptors.

Chris Bosh led Toronto with 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Andrea Bargnani added 22 points.

NBA: New Orleans 114, Dallas 107 (OT)

New Orleans -- Chris Paul scored 39 points for the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday in a 114-107 overtime win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The Hornets took charge in the extra session, with David West and Bobby Brown combining on a seven-point run.

West finished with 25 points and Brown had 18.

Jason Terry poured in 35 points off the bench for the Mavs.

Erick Dampier added 16 points and Dirk Nowitzki scored 12.
