MLB: Philadelphia 6, Colorado 5

Denver, Oct. 12: Closer Brad Lidge stranded two but got the Philadelphia Phillies' 6-5 win Sunday over the Colorado Rockies in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.

Lidge, who blew a league-high 11 saves during the regular season, induced Rockies Troy Tulowitzki to pop to left to end the game, giving the Rockies a 2-1 edge in the best-of-five divisional series.

In the top of the ninth, Ryan Howard drove in Jimmy Rollins, representing the go-ahead run, with a sacrifice fly. Carlos Ruiz knocked in two runs, while Chase Utley homered and scored twice for the defending World Series champions.

Carlos Gonzalez collected three hits, including a homer, and scored three times for the Rockies. Garrett Atkins added two RBI.

MLB: Colorado 10, Milwaukee 6

Denver, Oct. 1: Todd Helton hit a two-run homer to give Colorado the lead Wednesday and the Rockies moved to the brink of a playoff berth with a 10-6 win over Milwaukee.

Colorado eliminated San Francisco from playoff contention and took a four-game lead over Atlanta in the National League wild-card race with four games remaining.

A win by the Rockies or a loss by the Braves during the final four days of the season will give Colorado its second post-season berth in three years.

Colorado is also still in the hunt for the National League West title, having started the night 3 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.

MLB: Colorado 10, Arizona 4

Phoenix, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Jason Hammel held Arizona to three runs and four hits Saturday, leading the Colorado Rockies to a 10-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Hammel (9-8) threw 110 pitches with two walks and five strikeouts before relievers Rafael Betancourt and Franklin Morales completed the six-hitter.
Jason Giambi hit a pinch-hit three-run homer in Colorado's five-run ninth.
Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki hit solo shots.

Ryan Spilborghs had two hits and two RBI, while Ian Stewart and Yorvit Torrealba had one RBI apiece for the Rockies, who have won two of three following a four-game losing streak.

Tulowitzki homered for a career-best fourth straight game.

Arizona's Justin Young hit a three-run homer and a sacrifice fly.

MLB: Colorado 8, Philadelphia 3

Philadelphia, Aug. 4: Garrett Atkins had a two-run homer and four RBI Tuesday to lead the Colorado Rockies to an 8-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Chris Iannetta drove in two runs, and Ryan Spilborghs scored two for the Rockies.

Winning pitcher Jason Hammel (6-6) gave up three runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings in the Rockies' fifth straight win.

Jimmy Rollins hit a two-run homer for the Phillies, who have lost three straight and five of six.

Losing pitcher Jamie Moyer (10-8) gave up six runs on six hits with four walks over five-plus innings.

MLB: San Diego 3, Colorado 1

San Diego, July 19: Chase Headley's pinch-hit solo home run put San Diego ahead in the seventh inning Saturday and the Padres went on to beat Colorado 3-1.

Eliezer Alfonzo drove in Kevin Kouzmanoff during the seventh to provide an insurance run. Kouzmanoff had two hits for the Padres, who have won just three of their last 15 games.

Padres' starter Kevin Correia went six innings, allowing one run on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts. Greg Burke (2-1) retired the side in the seventh to get the win and Heath Bell pitched the ninth to collect his 24th save.

Colorado's lone run came in on an RBI double by Brad Hawpe.

MLB: Colorado 7, Seattle 1

Denver, June 14: Chris Iannetta drove in three runs in a five-run Colorado fifth Sunday and the Rockies went on to beat Seattle 7-1 for their 11th straight win.

Iannetta cleared the bases with a double after Jason Vargas (2-2) intentionally walked Troy Tulowitzki.

Jason Hammel (4-3) got the win by allowing a single run on five hits over 5 1/3 innings. The win gave the Rockies a 13-4 record under interim Manager Jim Tracy, who replaced Clint Hurdle May 29.

Jose Lopez gave Seattle a short-lived 1-0 lead with a sacrifice fly in the first inning.

The Rockies tied the score in the second on a sacrifice by Tulowitzki and then took a one-run lead in the third on an RBI single by Todd Helton.
