NHL: Los Angeles 3, New Jersey 1

Los Angeles -- Jarret Stoll got a goal and two assists and Jonathan Quick made 39 saves Saturday in the Los Angeles Kings' 3-1 win over New Jersey.

Stoll's tally midway through the second period restored the Kings' two-goal cushion and Quick stood up to a furious Devils onslaught in the final frame, turning aside all 20 shots he faced.

Justin Williams and Michal Handzus also scored for Los Angeles, which posted its first 5-0 start at home since Wayne Gretzky's first season with the team in 1988-89.

New Jersey, meanwhile, dropped its fourth in five games.

Matt Taormina got the Devils' only goal and Martin Brodeur stopped 20-of-23 shots in the loss.

NHL: Los Angeles Kings 5, Pittsburgh 2

Los Angeles -- Anze Kopitar scored twice Thursday for the Los Angeles Kings in a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh -- the Penguins' first loss on the road this season.

The Kings put the game away with four goals in the third period.

Jarret Stoll, Michael Handzus and Dustin Brown registered the other LA goals and Jonathan Quick turned away 21 shots.

Los Angeles is 6-0-2 in its last eight games.

Jordan Staal and Chris Kunitz scored for Pittsburgh, which had won its previous seven games on the road this season.

Marc-Andre Fleury had 27 saves for the Penguins.

NHL: Los Angeles 5, Phoenix 3

Los Angeles -- Dustin Brown and Jarret Stoll each had two goals Saturday to lead the Los Angeles Kings past the Phoenix Coyotes 5-3.

Wayne Simmonds chipped in what proved to be the game-winner in the third period for the Kings' third consecutive win.

Shane Doan scored two goals for Phoenix and Radim Vrbata added the other.

Jamie Quick made 30 saves for Los Angeles while Ilya Bryzgalov notched 16 for Phoenix.

After Simmonds scored at 9:12 to put the Kings ahead 4-2, Doan tallied at 12:30 to pull the Coyotes to within one.

Rachel Hunter's fiance dumps her two months before wedding

London, June 24: Former supermodel Rachel Hunter has been dumped by her much younger fiance Jarret Stoll less than two months before the wedding and she is devastated by his decision.

He informed the guests through email that the wedding was cancelled, but did not explain why he is doing so, thesun.co.uk reported.

"She is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding - she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list. She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a classic case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her," said a source close to Hunter.

NHL: Los Angeles 3, Vancouver 2

Los Angeles -- Jarret Stoll scored a couple of power-play goals Monday night and the Los Angeles Kings beat Vancouver 3-2.

Denis Gauthier scored a goal, Teddy Purcell had two assists and Jonathan Quick made 20 saves for the Kings, who won their third straight game.

Alex Burrows and Taylor Pyatt scored goals and Roberto Luongo let in three goals on 22 shots for the Canucks, who lost for just the third time in 15 games and trail first-place Calgary by eight points in the Northwest Division. Vancouver has 76 points, good for fifth seed in the Western Conference playoff chase.

The Kings are12th in the West with 67 points, but only three points short of the eighth and final playoff spot.

Gauthier opened the scoring for LA at 3:35 of the first period and Stoll made it 2-0 at 12:17 on a feed from Purcell with the Kings up a man. Burrows made it 2-1 when he scored the first Vancouver goal at 4:40 of the second but the Kings got the decisive goal at 12:51 of the second on Stoll's second goal of the night.
