COL BKB: Ohio St. 85, W. Carolina 60

Columbus, Ohio -- Jared Sullinger struck for 17 points and second-ranked Ohio State stayed hot Sunday with an 85-60 victory over Western Carolina.

Sullinger grabbed five rebounds and Dallas Lauderdale and Deshaun Thomas both added 13 points for the Buckeyes (8-0).

Ohio State added to its streak of winning each of its games by double digits with its latest triumph.

The Catamounts (4-8) were led by Mike Williams with a game-high 22 points and Trey Sumler contributed 12 points off the bench in the loss.

COL BKB: Ohio State 75, IUPUI 64

Columbus, Ohio -- A 40-point performance from freshman Jared Sullinger Thursday allowed No. 2 Ohio State to fight off a huge upset bid and defeat IUPUI 75-64.

The Buckeyes trailed by as many as 9 points in the second half, but caught up with 7:15 to play and then closed the contest on a 21-10 run.

Sullinger hit 12-of-17 shots from the floor and made 16-of-23 during a steady parade to the foul line. The rest of the Buckeyes combined to take only three free throws.

The 40 points were 14 more than Sullinger had scored in any of his previous games during his first year at Ohio State. He also claimed 13 rebounds.

Ohio State is unbeaten in its seven games this season. IUPUI fell to 4-6.

COL BKB: Ohio State 58, Florida State 44

Tallahassee, Fla. -- Jared Sullinger and Jon Diebler teamed up for 23 points and second-ranked Ohio State remained unbeaten with a 58-44 win over Florida State Tuesday.

Sullinger scored 11 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Diebler added 12 points and David Lighty chipped in with 10 points and seven boards for the Buckeyes (6-0).

Diebler's 3-pointer with 3:15 to go in the first half ignited a 12-2 Ohio State run that extended into the second frame, when he again hit a trey to cap the flurry.

The Buckeyes have jumped off to a 6-0 start for the fourth time under seventh-year head Coach Thad Matta.

The Seminoles (5-2) were led by Ian Miller, who ended with 11 points, while Derwin Kitchen contributed 10 points and five rebounds.

COL BKB: Ohio State 93, Florida 75

Gainesville, Fla. -- Jared Sullinger pumped in 26 points Tuesday, sparking No. 5 Ohio State to a 93-75 win over No. 10 Florida in a key early-season game.

Sullinger, hailed as one of the best incoming first-year players in college basketball, lived up to the hype Tuesday, making several slam-dunks in his 10-of-17 shooting performance and collecting 10 rebounds for the Buckeyes (2-0).

David Lighty scored 26 points, William Buford added 16 and Jon Diebler scored 14 for Ohio State, which shot a sizzling 62.9 percent from the field.

Kenny Boynton racked up five 3-pointers en route to a 21-point game for Florida (1-1).

Erving Walker added 15 points and Chandler Parsons contributed 13 in the Gators' defeat.
