Chicago -- Grain futures closed mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index rising 1.28 percent.
Corn was up 13 1/4 to up 13 3/4, soybeans were up 17 1/4 to up 17 1/2, wheat was off 2 1/2 to off 3 3/4 and oats were off 3 1/2 to off 3 3/4.
Corn futures rose as Argentina's Agriculture Ministry left its monthly planting estimate of 4 million hectares unchanged. Wheat futures dropped as Argentina raised its wheat crop estimate to 12.5 million metric tons, up by half a million metric tons. In soybeans, Argentina said plantings could reach a record 18.7 million hectares in production.

Chicago -- Wheat and soybeans closed higher, while corn and oats lost ground on the Chicago Board of Trade Friday.
Corn was off 1 1/2 to off 2 1/4, soybeans were up 8 3/4 to up 10 1/2, wheat was up 15 to up 18 3/4 and oats were off 1 3/4 to off 2 1/4.
Corn futures dropped as the dollar bounded higher, the dollar index rising 0.92 percent. Wheat prices found support from speculative buying and concerns over dry weather that pushed the July contract above $8. Soybean prices jumped with support from rising oil prices, although prices for meal declined.

Corn: Dec. 5.87 3/4, off 2 1/4; Mar 6.01 3/4, off 2; May 6.08 1/2, off 1 1/2; Jul 6.11 3/4, off 1 3/4.

Chicago -- Corn and soybeans surged on the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday as equity markets soared on Wall Street and the dollar index dropped 0.79 percent.
Corn was up 9 to up 9 1/4, soybeans were up 37 1/4 to up 38 3/4, wheat was up 22 1/4 to off 24 and oats were up 16 to up 16 1/4.
Corn futures rose a U.S. Department of Agriculture report expected to show production 100 million bushels below prior estimates. Wheat prices jumped with support from a weaker dollar and reports of lower stockpiles in Europe. Soybean prices jumped to highs unseen since September 2008 with concerns over dry conditions in Argentina.

Chicago -- Grains were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday -- corn and soybeans higher; wheat and oats lower -- with the dollar index up 0.24 percent.
Corn was up 27 1/2 to up 28 3/4, soybeans were up 17 1/2 to up 20 1/4, wheat was off 6 3/4 to off 10 and oats were off 1/2 to up 3.
Corn prices rose with the U.S. Department of Agriculture weekly crop report pegging 91 percent of the crop in good, very good or excellent shape. Wheat futures fell as Algeria posted a $200 per metric ton duty in durum wheat imports to reduce its stockpile. Soybean futures closed higher with the USDA report that said the harvest is 37 percent complete.

Chicago -- Grain futures were sharply higher on the Chicago Board of Trade Tuesday as the dollar index fell 0.82 percent after the Bank of Japan cut its lending rate.
Corn was up 18 1/2 to up 19 1/2, soybeans were up 16 3/4 to up 17 3/4, wheat was up 16 1/4 to up 17 1/2 and oats were up 15 to up 15 1/2.
Corn prices found support with the weaker dollar and the U.S. Grain Council's estimate of the yield in China coming in at 158 million metric tons compared to a U.S. Department of Agriculture estimate of 166 million. Wheat futures rose with a report pegging U.S. winter wheat as 53 percent done, compared to an historic average of 54 percent for this time of year. The USDA said China purchased 225,000 metric tons of soybeans Tuesday.

Chicago -- Grain futures were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday as the dollar lost ground and stock markets slumped on Wall Street.
Corn was up 4 3/4 to up 5 3/4, soybeans were off 1 3/4 to off 3, wheat was off 6 1/2 to off 7 3/4 and oats were up 4 1/4 to up 4 1/2.
Corn prices rose slightly dry weather expected to benefit farmers harvesting crops in the Midwest. Wheat futures fell despite Iraq issuing two tenders for 100,000 metric tons each. Soybean trading was flat with the U.S. Department of Agriculture announcing a sale of 110,497 metric tons to China.

Corn: Dec. 4.71 1/2, up 5 3/4; Mar 5.83, up 4 3/4; May 4.89 1/4, up 5 1/4; Jul 4.93 1/4, up 5 3/4.

Chicago-- Grain futures were sharply off on the Chicago Board of Trade Friday with a technical-based fund trading ruling.
Corn was off 23 1/4 to off 30, soybeans were off 43 3/4 to off 49 3/4, wheat was off 9 3/4 to off 19 and oats were unchanged to off 11.
Corn prices fell the limit and ended 55 cents below last week's close. Wheat futures also dropped amid signals of a major top has been reached, suggesting additional near-term pressure could be in the offing. Soybeans followed the trend, despite strong outside markets and continued strong demand.

Corn: Dec 4.65 3/4, off 30; Mar 4.78 1/4, off 30; May 4.84, off 30; Jul 4.87 1/2, off 30; Sep 4.72, off 23 1/4.

Chicago -- Grain futures were mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday as early gains on Wall Street faded and the dollar index was flat, closing up 0.09 percent.
Corn was off 8 to off 9 1/4, soybeans were up 7 1/4 to up 7 3/4, wheat was off 6 3/4 to off 9 1/2 and oats were up 6 1/4 to up 7 3/4.
Corn prices fell with the expectations of a successful harvest weighing on supply concerns. Wheat futures also dropped as European Union issued export licenses for 1.03 million metric tons of soft wheat this week. A U.S. Department of Agriculture report pegged soybean stockpiles this week as far higher than the same week a year ago at 151.1 million bushels compared to 138 million.
