I'm looking for the absolute numbers, comparisons with sector peers and competitors, and any trend that may tell me how strong Marvell's competitive position could be.

Review: EU falling down on environment

Brussels -- The European Union has earned a failing grade on its environmental commitments in almost all areas, recent officials studies say.

From protecting biodiversity to improving air quality in the cities, official reviews of the EU's performance overwhelmingly say more must be done, Inter Press Service reports.

The European Commission, the bloc's governing body, confirms the worrisome problems in its latest Environment Policy Review released Aug. 2.

Although many official environmental protection programs have been launched and progress is evident in some areas, "further efforts are needed, in particular (to tackle) the loss of biodiversity," the EC review said.

Child peer groups change with age

East Lansing, Mich. -- Some social differences between boys and girls tend to disappear by the time children reach the eighth grade, a U.S. researcher says.

A Michigan State University psychologist says although young girls tend to hang out in smaller, more intimate groups than boys, this peer network behavior vanishes as they get older, a university release said Monday.

The findings suggest "girls and boys aren't as different as we think they are," Jennifer Watling Neal, MSU assistant professor of psychology, says.

Neal studied how girls' and boys' peer networks develop across grades.
