Los Angeles -- "Gossip Girl," "Grey's Anatomy," "House," "The Good Wife" and "The Vampire Diaries" are up for the People's Choice Award for favorite U.S. television drama.
The nominees for the fan-voted prizes were announced Tuesday in Los Angeles.
Nominated for favorite TV drama actor are Chace Crawford, Hugh Laurie, Ian Somerhalder, Patrick Dempsey and Taye Diggs.
Earning nods in the favorite TV drama actress category are Blake Lively, Julianna Margulies, Kate Walsh, Lisa Edelstein and Sandra Oh.
In the running for favorite TV comedy are "Glee," "How I Met Your Mother," "Modern Family," "The Big Bang Theory" and "Two and a Half Men."
TV bosses have moved swiftly to deny reports actress Hilary Duff has held up production on Gossip Girl with a number of demands.
The 21 year old is currently in New York City filming episodes as a guest star on the hit TV teen drama, in which she plays a movie star who enrols in a university with Vanessa, played by Jessica Szohr.
Rumours swirled that Duff had infuriated the show's cast after refusing to leave her trailer as the others waited to film near Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighbourhood, causing a massive delay in shooting.
A source claims, "No one could believe they would actually hold up taping for her. Nobody in the cast behaves like that.
New York -- The ska-pop band No Doubt says it will perform on an upcoming episode of the U.S. TV teen drama "Gossip Girl."
The band said on its Web site that it will perform the song "Stand and Deliver" by Adam and the Ants on the May 11 episode of the popular CW drama, Zap2it.com reported Friday.
The May broadcast will mark the first time No Doubt has attempted the 1981 hit for a performance.
No Doubt's attempt at the '80s song will mark the most recent unusual musical offering on the popular series, Zap2it.com noted. The CW series previously had The Section Quartet, a Los Angeles string quartet, play a hit from the rock band Muse. "Gossip" also has offered viewers a version of pop singer Fergie's "Glamorous" as imagined by the Constance Billard girls' choir.
