When film director Jon Favreau, known for hits like 'Elf,' 'Iron Man,' and its sequel 'Iron Man 2,' made an appearance at the Comic-Con International to discuss his upcoming graphic novel adaptation, little had the sci-fi and comic book fans expected that the 'smuggler' and 'reckless mercenary' from the 'Star Wars' franchise was about to step inside the Comic Con's Hall H.

Prosecutors oppose Polanski's sentencing in absentia

California, January 16 -- Los Angeles prosecutors on Friday urged a judge overseeing Roman Polanski's 1977 child-sex case to reject fugitive film director's request to be sentenced in his absence for the crime.
