Elton John set for Moscow gig

Moscow -- British pop star Elton John announced on his Web site he plans to perform in Moscow this weekend.

The sold-out show is to take place Sunday in the city's Crocus City Hall venue.

John, 63, was one of the first western musicians to bring his act to the Soviet Union. He played his first concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg in 1979, and last took the stage in Russia in 2009, RIA Novosti said.
