Ruffalo not fighting with Norton over Hulk

New York -- Mark Ruffalo says he and Edward Norton, his friend and fellow Hollywood actor, are not fighting over the big-screen role of the Hulk.

Norton played the superhero in 2008's "The Incredible Hulk," but when he was not hired to reprise the part in the upcoming ensemble picture "The Avengers," the role went to Ruffalo.

"We feel like it's our generation's 'Hamlet,' and we're all going to get a crack it," Ruffalo told the New York Post of the character.

"We're copacetic; we're cool," he added, regarding his relationship with Norton.

However, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige said in a statement Friday that Norton is no longer taking part.
