Rick Fox eliminated from 'DWTS'

Los Angeles -- Retired NBA star Rick Fox became the latest celebrity eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

"I didn't have any idea," Fox said when asked if he expected to get the boot along with partner Cheryl Burke.

"You stay in a positive frame of mind," he added. "It is, though, the seventh week and so the numbers do decline and you know someone goes home at the end of the night. It's been a transformational journey for me. It's been amazing. My relationships have been transformed with my girlfriend, my daughter. It's been the most enjoyable time."

Los Angeles -- Some big names in the entertainment and political worlds turned down ABC's offer to be on "Dancing With The Stars" when it airs this month in Los Angeles.

The network unsuccessfully lobbied actor Sylvester Stallone, actress Kirstie Alley, political commentator Ann Coulter, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, the real Erin Brockovich, billionaire Richard Branson and actor-comedian Tim Allen, among others, The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

"People say no for a variety of reasons," Executive Producer Conrad Green said. "Some people like the show but think they suck at dancing. It's a lot easier to say 'no' than it is to say 'yes.'"

The Reporter said there has been some drama on the "DWTS" set.

"DWTS" host Tom Bergeron is to reveal the names throughout "The Bachelor's" two-hour season ender.

Immediately following each cast member's unveiling during prime-time, ABC.com will post the updated list online, the network said.

The Spring 2010 season of "Dancing with the Stars" is set to begin March 22.

Osmond crowned 'DWTS' Season 9 champ

Los Angeles -- Donny Osmond and his professional dance partner won the coveted mirrorball trophy on Tuesday's Season 9 finale of "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles.

The 51-year-old entertainer and Kym Johnson beat out reality television personality Kelly Osbourne and singer Mya and their professional dance partners for the honor.

Osmond hugged Johnson and runner-up Mya and then held his prize aloft and ran into the audience to bring his sister Marie on stage to celebrate. Marie Osmond was a past "DWTS" contestant.

Joanna Krupa eliminated from 'DWTS'

Los Angeles -- Joanna Krupa was eliminated in the semifinals of the competition series "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night.

"It has been such an amazing experience," the model said upon learning her fate. "Thank you to the judges. I've grown as a person. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.

"I had a great partner," she said, referring to Derek Hough.

Those slated to compete in the Season 9 finals next week, along with their professional dance partners, are singer Mya, reality TV personality Kelly Osbourne and entertainer Donny Osmond.
