MLB: Cincinnati 7, Chicago Cubs 5

Chicago -- Drew Sutton hit a game-winning, two-run double Saturday, boosting the Cincinnati Reds to a 7-5 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Sutton's only hit snapped a 5-5 tie with two outs in the top of the ninth.

Darnell McDonald, Brandon Phillips, Scott Rolen and Joey Votto also drove in runs for Cincinnati, which also got a run on a throwing error by Aramis Ramirez.

The winner was Arthur Rhodes (1-1). Closer Francisco Cordero earned his 34th save with a 1-2-3 ninth that preserved the Reds' first win in five games.

Geovany Soto led Chicago with three RBI. Ramirez also notched RBI for the Cubs, whose four-game winning streak ended.

The losing pitcher was reliever Carlos Marmol (2-3).

MLB: Cincinnati 10, San Francisco 5

San Francisco, Aug. 8: A bases-loaded walk to Brandon Phillips ignited a five-run ninth inning Friday that broke a tie and lifted Cincinnati to a 10-5 victory over San Francisco.

Cincinnati got only one ball, a sacrifice fly, out of the infield in the inning, and only one of the five runs was earned.

Drew Sutton reached on a bunt single to start the inning against Brian Wilson (3-5), then Alex Gonzalez and Joey Votto walked to load the bases.

Phillips walked on five pitches to bring in Sutton with the go-ahead run.
