MLS: FC Dallas 3, Los Angeles 0

Carson, Calif. -- David Ferreira scored and added an assist Sunday, propelling FC Dallas into the MLS championship game with a 3-0 upset of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

MLS Goalkeeper of the Year finalist Kevin Hartman made six saves and was especially tough early in the game for Dallas, making big saves in the 8th, 21st and 31st minutes to help put his team into its first-ever MLS Cup title game.

The Hoops will play the Colorado Rapids for the league title next Sunday in Toronto.

After Ferreira put FCD up 1-0 in the first half, Dallas made it 2-0 in the 54th minute when defender George John scored his first goal of the year, giving Dallas a 2-0 advantage.

MLS: FC Dallas 3, Real Salt Lake 0

Frisco -- Joe Cunningham scored twice Saturday, igniting a 3-0 Major League Soccer victory by FC Dallas against Real Salt Lake.

He scored in the fifth and 87th minutes, giving him 15 goals this season.

David Ferreira had a goal and an assist.

Dave van den Bergh had two assists, while goalkeeper Dario Sala made six saves for the Hoops (8-12-6), who rose to 5-1-0 in their last six matches at home.

They are the highest-scoring MLS club with 41 goals, but will not go to the post-season playoffs.

RSL (9-11-7) suffered its second straight loss and will need wins in its final three games to avoid a similar fate.

MLS: Colorado 1, Dallas 1

Commerce City, Colo. June 24: Omar Cummings scored in the 84th minute Wednesday, pulling Colorado into a 1-1 tie with Dallas.

David Ferreira gave Dallas the lead in the 37th minute with his second goal of the season, but Cummings produced the equalizer after taking a pass from Mehdi Ballouchy.

The Rapids (5-2-6) are unbeaten in their last eight games. Dallas (3-7-5) has lost only once in its last seven games, but is still in seventh place in the Western Conference.
