Los Angeles-- Conan O'Brien got a laugh from his U.S. late-night show studio audience, donning skin-tight, acid-washed denim leggings he called "incredibly comfortable."
E! News said O'Brien wore the trendy jeggings on his TBS show after promising fashion guru Tim Gunn Wednesday he would do so.
"Men don't wear jeggings," O'Brien argued with Gunn after he was informed some males are, indeed, walking around in them. "What if I wore, for a whole show, what if I wore jeggings one night? Seriously?"
Shortly after beginning his monologue for Thursday night's show, O'Brien replayed the clip from his Gunn interview and declared: "I have a motto on this show. If I say I'm gonna do something, I do it!"

Los Angeles -- Conan O'Brien started up his new late-night talk show in Los Angeles Monday night by ribbing his new home TBS and ridiculing his former network NBC.
O'Brien left NBC after the network attempted to bump "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" from 11:35 p.m. to 12:05 a.m. to make room for Jay Leno's show earlier in the evening.
O'Brien's "Tonight" was on for only several months in the 2009-10 television season before Leno returned as host.
"Thank you and welcome to my second annual first show," O'Brien told the "Conan" audience Monday night.

Los Angeles -- Conan O'Brien's writing staff is unhappily expecting pay cuts since his new U.S. talk show will run on TBS instead of NBC, sources told the New York Post.
O'Brien left "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in January in a highly publicized falling-out with NBC. His as-yet-untitled TBS show is to kick off Nov. 8.
"This is no surprise," an insider told the Post about the anticipated pay cuts. "One show was broadcast network; the other is basic cable. It's a different pay scale. It's not just writers; it's everybody."
The newspaper said the Writers Guild of America is still negotiating how much O'Brien's writers will be paid for their work on the new chat series.

Los Angeles -- Conan O'Brien's Emmy Award nomination was well-noted on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in Los Angeles Thursday.
O'Brien briefly served as host of "Tonight" last year after NBC pushed Leno out of the spot. When O'Brien didn't work out, the network reinstated Leno.
O'Brien, who is heading to TBS to start up a new late-night chat show, earned and Emmy Award nod Thursday for his brief tenure on "Tonight."
"The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" will compete for the Emmy for outstanding variety, music or comedy series with "The Colbert Report," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," "Real Time with Bill Maher" and "Saturday Night Live."

Los Angeles -- U.S. comedian Conan O'Brien says he is "doing great" after being ousted as host of "The Tonight Show" in January.
NBC booted Jay Leno as host of "Tonight" at the end of last season and gave the position to O'Brien -- then the host of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" -- to keep O'Brien from moving to another network. NBC then offered Leno a nightly, hourlong 10 p.m. series.

Los Angeles -- U.S. comedian Conan O'Brien has signed on as host of a late-night talk show expected to debut on TBS in November, the cable television network said Monday.
The hour-long, yet-to-be-titled show is to air Mondays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. It will be followed by "Lopez Tonight," which will shift to a midnight time slot.
O'Brien began talks in earnest with TBS just last week after Lopez personally called him to ask that he consider joining the network's late-night line-up, the network said.
"I can't think of anything better than doing my show with Conan as my lead-in," Lopez said in a statement. "It's the beginning of a new era in late-night comedy."

New York -- Comedian Conan O'Brien has declined an offer to serve as host of the upcoming 2010 Tony Awards show in New York, TVGuide.com reported.
O'Brien was recently ousted as host of NBC's "The Tonight Show."
TVGuide.com said his decision not to play master of ceremonies for Broadway's biggest night may be due to his NBC exit contract, which "restricts him from certain activities until Sept. 1."
O'Brien is allowed to appear on television as of May 1 but is forbidden to speak negatively about the network, Playbill.com said.
The comedian is also scheduled to begin his live U.S. stage show "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour" April 12.

Los Angeles -- U.S. comedian Conan O'Brien, who has kept a low profile since he was ousted as host of "The Tonight Show" last month, is bringing his act to Twitter.
NBC booted Jay Leno as host of "Tonight" at the end of last season and gave the position to O'Brien to keep O'Brien from moving to another network. NBC then gave Leno a nightly, hour-long, 10 p.m. series. When the prime-time "Jay Leno Show" failed to be a strong lead-in for local news broadcasts, however, NBC announced it would push Leno's show to 11:35 p.m., shorten it to 30 minutes and air "Tonight" at 12:05 a.m.
O'Brien responded by saying he would not remain on "Tonight" if it was bumped to 12:05 a.m.
