Ex-Hawaii QB Brennan hurt in car crash

Honolulu -- Former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan was hospitalized with serious injuries suffered in a car accident, officials said Saturday.

Hawaii authorities said Brennan, 27, sustained multiple injuries when a car in which he was a passenger struck another vehicle in the island of Hawaii's Kona district around 9:30 a.m. Friday, the Honolulu Star Advertiser reported.

A 47-year-old woman in the other car was also seriously hurt and had to be pulled out through her vehicle's roof. Brennan was hospitalized at Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu in serious condition while the woman was taken to North Community Hospital in Waimea with serious leg injuries, the newspaper said.
