MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 3, Arizona 1

Phoenix -- Clayton Kershaw allowed one run over eight-plus innings Trent Oeltjen hit an RBI triple Friday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-1 decision over Arizona.

Kershaw (13-10) scattered four hits, walking none and striking out nine. The only run he yielded came on Tony Abreu's ninth-inning RBI double.

Kenley Jansen came on for Kershaw with no outs and a runner on second in the ninth, and shut down the Diamondbacks for his second save.

Oeltjen scored A.J. Ellis with a triple in the third inning to break a scoreless tie and the Dodgers went on to win the first contest in a three-game series at Chase Field.

Jay Gibbons drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and Reed Johnson added a solo homer for Los Angeles.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 4, San Diego 1

San Diego -- Clayton Kershaw held San Diego to only three hits over seven innings Saturday, keying a 4-1 Los Angeles Dodgers win over the Padres.

Kershaw (3-2) surrendered only one run, walking two and striking out seven in lifting the Dodgers to a fifth straight win on their current six-game road trip.

James Loney hit a home run and Jamey Carroll collected two hits and an RBI for Los Angeles.

The Padres were led by Chase Headley, who drove in San Diego's only run.

Kevin Correia (4-3) drew the loss for the Padres, yielding five hits and four runs over 5 1/3 innings in his first start after returning from bereavement leave. Correia was mourning the death of his younger brother, who was killed in a hiking accident.

Dodgers set rotation for Philadelphia

Los Angeles, Oct. 15: The Los Angeles Dodgers dropped pitchers Jeff Weaver and Jon Garland and added Hiroki Kuroda before Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Kuroda is expected to start Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday.

He has been trying to recover from a herniated disc in his neck.

Also added was rookie third left-handed reliever Scott Elbert, who was inactive against St. Louis.

Garland won three times after he was acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks in July, and did not pitch against the St. Louis Cardinals in the Division Series.

"We just felt with (Philadelphia), we wanted the option of another left-hander," Manager Joe Torre said on the Dodgers' Web site.

MLB: Philadelphia 8, LA Dodgers 6

Los Angeles, Oct. 16: Carlos Ruiz and Raul Ibanez hit three-run homers Thursday to power Philadelphia past the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-6 in Game 1 of the NL Championship Series.

The blast by Ruiz was the key blow in a five-run fifth inning and Ibanez hit his shot in the eighth to give the defending World Series champion Phillies an 8-4 lead.

Los Angeles closed within 8-6 in the bottom of the eighth and Manny Ramirez came to the plate with two on and two out. Ramirez, who hit a two-run homer in the fifth to temporarily bring the Dodgers within one, grounded out to third to end the Los Angeles threat.

Struggling Philadelphia closer Brad Lidge came on in the ninth and, with the help of a double play, earned his third save in this year's playoffs.

MLB: Pittsburgh 6, Los Angeles Dodgers 5

Pittsburgh, Sept. 27: Lastings Milledge hit a ninth-inning, game-winning two-run single Sunday, rallying the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 6-5 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Milledge's bases loaded single -- his only hit of the game -- capped a four-run rally in the bottom of the ninth.

Andy LaRoche had two hits and two RBI, a run scored on an error by Rafael Furcal, another scored on Clayton Kershaw's third-inning wild pitch, and Andrew McCutchen had three of the 11 hits for the Pirates, who have won two of three.

The winner was closer Matt Capps (4-8).

MLB: San Diego 2, LA Dodgers 0

Los Angeles, Sept. 5: Wade LeBlanc and three relievers combined to shut down Los Angeles Friday in San Diego's 2-0 victory over the Dodgers.

The Padres, trying to avoid a last-place finish in the National League West, won their fourth straight game. Los Angeles saw its lead in the division over Colorado trimmed to 4 1/2 games.

LeBlanc (1-1) won for just the second time in his two-year major league career. He gave up two hits over six innings while striking out two and walking three.

Joe Thatcher and Luke Gregerson teamed to work 1 2/3 innings and Heath Bell recorded the final four outs for his 34th save.

MLB: Milwaukee 6, Los Angeles Dodgers 5

Los Angeles, Aug. 4: Manny Parra went eight-plus innings Monday and the Milwaukee Brewers survived a ninth-inning comeback bid to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5.

Ryan Braun had four hits, including a three-run home run, and Casey McGehee had two hits and scored two runs for the Brewers, who won their second straight game and their fourth out of six.

Parra (6-8) gave up four runs on eight hits with one walk and four strikeouts before being replaced by Trevor Hoffman with two on and nobody out in the bottom of the ninth.

The Dodgers scored three times before Hoffman picked up his 24th save by getting Manny Ramirez to fly out with the bases loaded to end the game.

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 5, Houston 2

Los Angeles, July 19: Clayton Kershaw went seven strong innings and earned his fifth straight victory Saturday, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-2 win over Houston.

Kershaw (8-5) allowed no runs on just two hits with five strikeouts and one walk for the Dodgers, who can salvage a split of the four-game series with a win Sunday.

Jonathan Broxton got his 21st save with a scoreless ninth in relief.

Orlando Hudson had three hits, including a triple, with one RBI and two runs scored for the Dodgers, who got a pair of RBI from Matt Kemp and one RBI from Mark Loretta.

MLB: LA Dodgers 7, Milwaukee 4

Milwaukee -- Clayton Kershaw held Milwaukee to a run and two hits in six innings Sunday, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 7-4 win over the Brewers.

Kershaw (7-4) had thrown 103 pitches when he was replaced by Hiroki Kuroda after Mike Cameron's lead-off double in the bottom of the seventh.

Brad Ausmus, Orlando Hudson and James Loney led Los Angeles, all with two hits
and two RBI.

One of the hits by Ausmus was a two-out, solo homer in the fourth.

A run scored on Cameron's first-inning error and Manny Ramirez added three of the nine hits for the Dodgers, who rose to a major league best 56-32 record
heading into the All-Star break starting Monday.

Three Milwaukee batters had one RBI.

MLB: LA Dodgers 8, N.Y. Mets 0

New York, July 7: Manny Ramirez drove in three runs before being ejected in the fifth inning Tuesday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 8-0 win over the New York Mets.

Clayton Kershaw (6-5), pitched six scoreless frames, giving up three hits and striking out seven to get the win. Kershaw is 3-0 over his last five starts and allowed no runs in four of those games.

Orlando Hudson drove in two runs and scored once for the Dodgers. Matt Kemp had an RBI and a run scored, and Blake DeWitt hit his first homer of the season.

Mike Pelfrey (6-4) lasted a season-low three-plus innings, allowing five runs on eight hits for the Mets, who have lost nine of their last 11 games.

Los Angeles, July 1: Rafael Furcal's pinch-hit single in the eighth inning Wednesday sent pinch-runner Russell Martin racing home for a 1-0 LA Dodgers win over the Colorado Rockies.

Furcal, batting for reliever and winner Ramon Troncoso (2-0), knocked in Martin from second base with one out.

Brad Ausmus had two of the six hits for the Dodgers, who rose to 10-2 against the Rockies this season.

Los Angeles starter Clayton Kershaw surrendered one hit and five walks in five scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Closer Jonathan Broxton, the last of four pitchers, earned his 19th save for a 1-2-3 ninth.

MLB: Philadelphia 3, LA Dodgers 0

Los Angeles -- Cole Hamels threw the third shutout of his career Thursday, giving Philadelphia its seventh straight win with a 3-0 decision over the Los Angeles Dodgers

Hamels (4-2), MVP of last year's World Series, improved to 4-0 over his last seven starts. The Phillies opened a four-game lead in the National League East over the New York Mets.

Philadelphia played in Los Angeles for the first time since finishing off the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series last season.

Hamels threw 97 pitches while allowing five hits and striking out five without walking a batter.
