Angola -- The wife of pro-golfer Chris Smith was killed and their children seriously injured in a crash near Angola, Ind., state police said.
Beth Smith, of Peru, Ind., died Sunday when the sport utility vehicle in which she was a passenger collided head-on with a Greyhound bus carrying a semi-pro football team to Canada, The Fort Wayne (Ind.) News-Sentinel reported Monday.
The collision occurred on Interstate 69 when the SUV lost control in the passing lane, over corrected and crossed the median into the northbound lane, police said. It was not immediately clear who was driving the SUV.
